The Secret Cosmos Volume One Glossary
Al’s Dictionary of Consciousness and Physics
Glossary of Terms (as used in this manuscript)
A
Absolute value: A quantity value without positive or negative sign. If you move left from 0 on a number line to -5, or right to +5 in both cases you have moved an absolute value of 5 units, for instance + 5 and – 5; the absolute value is 5.
Abstraction: Using semantic language (words, names, etc.) or mathematics (numbers, letters and sign symbols) to explain, illustrate and define objects and events. Description of a thing is never the thing described; therefore, no abstraction can describe itself without manifesting a fatal logical infinite regress error in first-order logic. Furthermore, claiming an abstraction is identical to the object or event described is a fatal logical category error in first-order logic. No system of mathematics can explain itself.
Abundance: The natural identity state condition of the whole physical universe, there is enough, assuming the gifts are passed along, and hoarding does not occur. (See scarcity; hoarding).
Actual Existence Domain: The ultimately simultaneous domain that hosts everything that is actually physical. Everything in actual existence domain is real = exists + true, including objects in the physical category and objects in the immaterial category.
Actuality: Aristotle’s fundamental category of existence, actual existence. Everything that is actually physical is hosted inside the actual existence domain. Everything that actually does physically exist must have an a priori possible-to-exist meta-information first information blueprint inside the meta-information matrix inside near-existence domain.
A-entropic: Independent of entropy. No immaterial object generates entropy because they are all a-thermodynamic, in the sense that changes in the object (say changes in conceptualization of ideas) do not cause disorder of information; in fact, many instances of immaterial objects, say all forms of consciousness, cause the ordering of information, which is a reduction of entropy, without violating laws of thermodynamics). (See a-thermodynamic).
Aether: I find it irrationally ironic that physicists casually embrace the concept of nothing as something (nothing as an active agent), but vehemently deny the coherent concept of aether which is just another term for emptiness, which is easily empirically observable. (See emptiness).
Affective: The contents of ego consciousness including feelings and emotions. Feelings and emotions are identity conditions of sentient consciousness, for example, what it feels like to be alive, to be an ego conscious human being occupying a physical body/brain/central nervous system live organism.
Agent: An object capable of taking action to cause something to exist or occur. For example, ego consciousness is an active agent with the power of create-manifest intentional immaterial causality.
Algorithm: A set of encoded computer programming rules which are sequential step-by-step instructions for making decisions and arriving at conclusions to answer questions and solve problems.
Alternate facts: Logical contradiction is permitted. Alternate facts are always instances of fatal logical errors, violations of the principle of non-contradiction (PNC). According to Rovelli, quantum mechanics permits alternate facts.
Appearance: Can be seen with physical eyes with reflected electromagnetic visible light radiation. Only appearance can be empirically observed. Substance and appearance is a necessary category distinction. Physical objects and illusions have appearance. All immaterial objects exist without appearance. (See illusion; substance).
Apocalypse: Non-nuclear extinction event, for example caused by climate collapse or pandemics. (See genocide).
A-posteriori: After empirical observations which are after physical category already exists.
A priori: Before empirical observations. A natural a priori axiom is necessarily true in every possible universe. For instance, Immanuel Kant (Critique of Pure Reason 1781) uses these phrases: “a priori justification,” “a priori information,” “a priori knowledge,” and “a priori truth.” (See axioms).
Armageddon: Nuclear weapons of mass destruction extinction event.
Artificial intelligence (AI): A set of computer programming instructions, called algorithms, which permit computers, machines, and robots to mimic some of the functions of ego consciousness. AI mimics the cognitive function of ego consciousness, including thinking, data analysis, problem solving, inference, and deduction. The primary advantage of AI over human intelligence is the speed of computations. The primary limitation of AI is that it is not sentient, which means it cannot feel what it is like to be a machine intelligence. AI is not sentient, not alive, and not conscious.
Real AI exists and does present information that is true.
Unreal AI is fundamentally disconnected from truth. Unreal AI exists completely independent of truth. With unreal AI, truth has nothing to do with the presentation of information.
Aseity: From Latin, a “from” and se “self”, Aseity is an eternal being that exists without beginning. Aseity is a secular term for God, absolutely independent and self-existent by nature. The ontological proof is that Aseity (God) is necessary or nothing that must be caused to begin could exist at all.
A-spatial: independent of any specific actual location.
A-temporal: independent of actual real clock and calendar time.
A-thermodynamic: Independent of thermodynamics. Immaterial objects are not intrinsically involved in any exchange of heat.
Atom: An atom is a complex microscopic object (can be seen with magnification by a microscope), not quantum (can’t be seen with any degree of existing technological magnification). Atoms are composed of a positively charged nucleus, with a cloud of negatively charged electrons surrounding the nucleus. The nucleus is bound together by electrostatic force (interaction between positive and negative electric charges).
Atomic: With reference to atoms; forming a single irreducible unit or component in a larger system. It is now known that atoms are not the smallest objects, they are complex, not elementary, which means they exist with internal structure (quarks are constituents of atoms).
Atomism: Larger objects are made from smaller ones. The whole physical universe is composed of quantum particles which are fundamental-elementary-indivisible-simple constituents of all complex objects. The updated version of atomism is quarkism. Quantum elementary quarks are simple constituents of complex atoms. Atoms are constituents of molecules. Molecules are constituents of all physical materials, say wood. Physical materials are constituents of all complex objects, say cars and buildings. In fact, matter mass units, including baryons, fermions, quarks, leptons (electrons), plus energy mass bosons (photons), account for less than 5% of total mass in our universe. Therefore, atomism can be applied to explain less than 5% of our physical universe. Atomism is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which falsely claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical. (See continuum; relational interpretation of quantum mechanics).
Quarkism: Atoms are complex, which means atoms have internal structure. Elementary quarks are constituents of complex atoms; therefore, it is coherent to replace the term atomism from classical physics (atom was the smallest object known to exist at that time), with the new quantum particle physics term quarkism.
Nucleus: Center of a complex atom composed of positively charged protons, and neutrons with no electric charge. Elementary quarks are constituents of complex electrons and protons.
Avatar: Spiritually advanced human beings that spend a high percentage of time while alive occupying a physical body/brain/central nervous system, in enlightened states of being. They have mastered the physical brain to command it to pay attention only to what they do want, wasting no energy or time paying attention to what they do not want.
Axioms: Statements carrying justified truth value without reference to any other supporting statements. Axioms are the strongest possible ground for logical inference. Axioms are necessarily true.
Natural a priori axioms: Fundamental statements which require no additional evidence or proof of the truth value they communicate. Every natural a priori axiom is tautologically true, could not, not be true. You either understand them or you don’t. If you ask for proof of any natural a priori tautology that means you do not understand it. They are the foundation and ultimate ground for all systems of knowledge. They are the ideas with which we think and from which we construct all systems of justified knowledge. Natural a priori axioms are a higher logical level than mathematical axioms. They are discovered by consciousness with direct sentient feeling knowledge experience, but the truth they express is independent of consciousness. There is a necessary congruence between epistemological description and ontological existence in every statement of a natural a priori axiom. Natural a priori axiom examples: 1) nothing does not refer to anything that could possibly or actually exist, 2) everything physical must be caused to begin, 3) no physical object can create itself.
Mathematical axioms: Specific rules for a specific system of math; tautological assumptions created by consciousness; proofs of truth-value are with reference to these axiom rules; a set of axioms is unique for each distinct kind of mathematics; axioms define consistent and complete without logical contradiction; epistemological description of something other than itself.
B
Being (generic): The category identity state condition of having existence that is alive.
Human being: A living person with sentient feeling ego consciousness.
Belief: Strong sentient feeling confidence that what you know is true. Beliefs may be true and may be false. All beliefs are subjective, they exist as immaterial abstractions in ego consciousness. Belief cannot be the ground for justified knowledge, rather justified knowledge is the ground for belief. Strong sentient feeling experience knowledge can corroborate and be congruent with justified knowledge but itself is not justified knowledge.
Bell’s inequality theorem (John Stewart Bell) denies locality of quantum elementary mass units. It says there is superluminal (instantaneous) faster than speed of light exchange of information between physical quantum elementary mass units at any possible distance of separation, with no known physical path connecting those units, and no known mechanism with which to explain the exchanges. Bell’s theorem also rules out any hidden physical variables that might be assumed to cause what Einstein called “spooky action at a distance,” therefore Bell’s theory seems to rule out Einstein’s interpretation of realism locality, but I deny that interpretation of realism and offer an original definition of locality and realism. (See local in classical and relativity physics, and wholeness ultimately local).
Bridge: An object that entails or permits but does not cause objects and events to occur. For example, information is a bridge object not a causal agent. Information is a bridge between consciousness and physical.
Bijection, also called one-to-one correspondence, means to compare one infinite set with another, element by element which, in principle, could reveal that one of those sets may have members left over. This is an imaginary mathematical operation in pure mathematics. No one could get to the end of even the smallest infinity (if there is such a thing as small or large infinity) because by common definition infinity increases without bound and is therefore uncountable. (See infinite; omni-infinite).
Black Hole: Singularities abundantly scattered throughout every galaxy and solar system. At the horizon of a black hole, laws of physics cease to operate, and mathematics of physics cannot be used to describe a black hole because the mathematics diverges to infinity, which is a fatal error (infinite regress). Information and mass that goes into a black hole cannot be retrieved. (See singularity; normalization).
Bodhisattva vow: In Buddhism, when a person experiences enlightenment, but voluntarily chooses to remain docked to a physical body/brain/central nervous system organism, with the intention of helping others to also wake up.
Bosons: gage boson, Higgs boson, scalar boson, tensor boson, W boson, and Z boson: (See force carrier particle).
Boundary (generic): The exact point where one object, say object A, simultaneously begins and ends. The exact point where another object, say object B, simultaneously begins and ends. For example, point of origin in any Cartesian graph is simultaneously where the x-axis begins and ends, the y-axis begins and ends and the point of origin itself. Also, 0 on a real number line is placeholder where negative quantity turns into positive quantity but has neither negative nor positive quantity in it. Also, any point on a Möbius loop is simultaneously 1) point A begins, 2) point A ends, 3) point B begins, 4) point B ends, and 5) the boundary point separating points A and B. Boundaries are necessary for wholeness to exist. For example, mereology [part/whole] relations and topology location relations are necessary natural boundary identity conditions of wholeness.
Brownian motion: Motion intrinsic to all macroscopic particles suspended in some medium, for instance dust particles or molecules of gas randomly colliding with each other and with the molecules of the medium. The motion is neither linear motion, nor curvilinear motion, rather the particles appear to be jumping about like fleas hopping. During the hopping about they do change location but not along a linear or curvilinear path. Elementary particles, such as quarks and electrons, do not exhibit intrinsic Brownian motion, rather they behave according to laws of quantum mechanics, for example, according to mathematical abstraction probabilities.
C
Cardinal numbers: Quantity numbers used for counting, for example 1, 2, 3, etc. (See ordinal numbers).
Category is a boundary which defines inside the category and outside the category, one side of the boundary and the other side of the boundary, included or excluded by the boundary. Each category is necessarily unique, unambiguously distinct from every other category. Category boundaries are the set of properties, functions and relations, unique to that category, for instance an unambiguous category boundary is “exist without beginning” vs “exist with beginning.” Each category is the highest generic inclusive term which includes every instance for that kind of thing. Category entails examples of the category, and examples instantiate the category. It is necessary there are at least two categories, physical and immaterial.
Omni-category: Exists without beginning. Omni-category has only one element: eternal. Only eternal exists without beginning. Omni-category entails all other categories.
Meta-category: Category of other categories.
Ultimate category: The category inclusive of everything that exists with beginning. Everything other than eternal exists with beginning. The ultimate category, “exists with beginning,” is a meta category inclusive of all other categories (except the omni-category), for instance physical category exists with beginning and immaterial category exists with beginning.
Physical material category includes everything with mass. Quantum elementary particles have intrinsic matter-mass and/or intrinsic motion-mass. Fermion matter mass units (for example electrons) have intrinsic matter-mass. Boson interaction force carrier “particles” (for example photons) have intrinsic motion mass, but no matter mass. Quantum particle-wave duality means elementary particles can take particle (electron) and wave (photon) form. Complex physical objects are made from quantum elementary constituent fermion matter mass particles (electrons and quarks). Mass–energy equivalence, E = mc2 says energy is physical mass (m) times speed of light squared c2. Quantum elementary mass particles carry energy, but they are not constituents of energy. Energy is as elementary as quantum elementary particles. No elementary object can be what any other elementary object is made from. As quantum elementary units change form, say particles and waves, they capture and/or release energy. Total energy and total mass are conserved by the identity condition E = mc2.
Physical non-material category includes all physical objects that are not massive (zero matter mass and zero motion mass), neither baryonic matter mass physical nor boson motion mass physical. Visible physical non-material examples include holes and emptiness. Invisible physical non-material examples include dark matter and dark energy (no one knows exactly what those objects are, including if they are elementary or complex).
Immaterial (non-physical) category includes all forms of consciousness, all properties, functions and relations of consciousness, and all abstraction outputs of consciousness, including all systems of knowledge, including all systems of logic and mathematics. Immaterial category includes freewill (intention + attention + choice + action), awareness of awareness, sentient affective feelings and emotions (love), sensation (five senses), and all abstraction objects of consciousness (ideas, concepts, systems of mathematics, systems of logic, imagination, thinking, vision, epiphanies, etc.).
Causality: One object causes another object to exist or change in some way if it already exists. For example, applying sufficient heat causes water to boil. Effects always follow causes; first the heat is applied then the water boils. Causes always precede effects. Natural a priori axiom: everything physical must be caused to begin. Causality itself must be caused to begin.
Cause: An agent with power to make something else begin to exist for the very first time. For example, a human being sharpens a long stick to make the first killing spear.
Causeless: Not caused by something else. For instance, eternal exists without beginning, therefore is not caused by something else.
Ego Consciousness intentional immaterial create-manifest causality: Ego consciousness drives the physical bus. Ego consciousness has the power of intentional immaterial create-manifest causality, which means ego consciousness commands known laws of physics to cause chosen effects to occur. For instance, you rearrange furniture in your room, or astronauts land on the moon.
Immaterial causality: There are three categories of immaterial intentional causality: 1) eternal has power of genesis-emanate intentional causality, 2) superconsciousness has power of genesis-create intentional causality, and 3) ego consciousness has power of create-manifest intentional causality. Intentional causality is substance, not just appearance.
Mechanistic-deterministic physical causality: Automatic physical causality when one physical object causes another physical object to begin to exist. Mechanistic is the automatic part and deterministic means all instances of causality are pre-determined because there is a set of initial conditions (even if we cannot know what they were) and a set of automatic inviolable laws of physics, which are knowable, and which govern everything physical that actually does exist. Classical physics classical mechanics is a coherent theory explaining mechanistic-deterministic physical causality.
Mechanistic-uncertainty (non-deterministic) physical causality: Automatic physical causality when interactions of quantum elementary particles cause other objects and events to begin to exist. Automatic is the mechanistic part, and uncertainty means it is impossible to specifically describe an elementary particle before it has some kind of interaction with something else. Before that interaction the elementary particle existed only as a probability of possible existence but is not actually physical, yet. It is impossible to specifically calculate a correct quantity value for both location and momentum in a single iteration of a single equation for any quantum elementary particle, and impossible to predict whether that particle will take a particle or a wave form (particle-wave duality). Particle physics quantum mechanics is a coherent theory of mechanistic-uncertainty physical causality.
Meta-causality: Causality of causality. Eternal genesis-emanates hypostasis superconsciousness, and that is the beginning of causality.
Omni genesis-emanate intentional immaterial causality: Eternal genesis-emanates the first-first. Emanation of the first-first is beginning of beginning, beginning of causality and beginning of dualism simultaneously (all at once). The name for the first-first is hypostasis. The first-first hypostasis is superconsciousness (the first object to exist with beginning).
Penultimate causality: The first instance when a physical object causes another physical object to begin to exist for the first time. No one knows what that was, but it is certain it was something, not nothing.
Physical causality: Automatic mechanistic causality in which one physical object, event, outcome or state condition causes another. Physical causality is strictly governed by a set of automatic laws of physics. In physical causality causes always precede effects, and there is a knowable path, for the exchange of information that occurs from object a that causes to object b that is caused. Physical causality is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Ultimate genesis-create intentional immaterial causality: Superconsciousness genesis-creates the first physical object in the first universe. No one knows for sure what that object was, but it is certain there was a first physical object because something physical actually does exist.
Certainty: Knowing something for sure. I usually attach the sign from mathematics, “≃”, which means “approaching” when I make statements of certainty. There are things that remain perpetually the same, from the moment they begin to exist, to the moment they cease to exist, for instance it is certain that change is certain, it is certain that uncertainty is certain. Justified knowledge is grounded in the best information we have at that time. The best information is a set of natural a priori axioms, outputs of the scientific method with confirmation applying systems of axiomized mathematics. Certainty cannot be fixed or final because now is the perpetual reconfiguration of everything everywhere all at once. “If and only if” is a statement of certainty, the same way X ≡ X is a statement of certainty, the same way all, natural a priori axioms, are statements of certainty, the same way absolute tautological identity is always a statement of certainty. Any time subjective consciousness is involved in awareness, knowledge, understanding, communication, etc., there is always a possibility for insertion of errors. (See justified knowledge).
Physical certainty: It is certain that virtually everything physical changes constantly. Brownian motion of all quantum mass units cannot be stopped. We are, literally, certain about Brownian motion. On the other hand, the exact state condition of any quantum mass unit cannot be known with certainty, because that exact state condition necessarily remains strictly local in time and place, but both time and location change ceaselessly. Everything conserved remains perpetual until it ends. Everything global remains perpetual until it ends. Local is not conserved. Everything local changes perpetually.
Chaos: Conserved global state condition, 100% disorder of information ≃ 100% uncertainty, everything all mixed up every which way. Chaos is perpetual motion, without empirically observable patterns, regardless of how you look for them, or how long you look for them. In fact, if you can find a pattern, that is not chaos that you have found, it is something else, say random, or uncertainty. The pathways of motion (change) in chaos, are literally, approaching infinitely long, infinitely complex, and inseparably overlapping, therefore unknowable.
Charge (electromagnetic and chromodynamic): Electric charge and color charge of quantum elementary particles. Fermion matter mass electrons have negative electric (electromagnetic) charge -1. Fermion matter mass quarks have both electromagnetic (either +2/3 or -1/3), and color chromodynamic charges (red, green, and blue) related to the strong nuclear force which holds atoms together. Quarks interact with each other through the exchange of particles called gluons, which are boson force carrier particles, which carry the color force and ensure that quarks are bound together inside protons and neutrons.
Cognition is the mental activity (thinking), plus affective (feeling and emotion), plus perceptual (five senses including see, hear, smell, taste and touch) powers of ego consciousness for acquiring knowledge.
Coherence: The quantum state condition in which a pair of two elements of a quantum superposition holon, logically contradict each other, deny each other, nevertheless exist simultaneously in coherence as a holon unity of wholeness, a single object inside near-existence domain. For example, the superpositions [particle/0/wave] or [alive/0/dead].
Coherent: Arguments that are sensible; common sense. Arguments supported by empirical observations and mathematical axiom confirmation. Arguments supported by natural a priori axioms.
Incoherent: Arguments that are logical contradictions, for example fatal logical infinite regress and fatal logical reification category errors.
Collective: Multiple distinct instances are merged as a single whole object while simultaneously remaining distinct instances. For example, collective ego consciousness is the holon unity of wholeness of the total set of ego consciousness units. (See command).
Command: To make intentional use of some object. There is no control over anything, but there are degrees of command that approach but never reach actual control.
Commons: Multiple distinct users have (in principle) relatively equal access to use something. For instance, witness consciousness is a consciousness-commons freely accessible by every instance of ego consciousness. (See collective).
Common sense: Ordinary people intuitively know the right thing to do, for example respond with love rather than hate. Common sense is the common person’s natural wisdom.
Commutative algebra: For example, in linear algebra, 5 • 4 = 4 • 5 = 20, or generally x • y = y • x, and that is a rule of linear commutative algebra, which means order of mathematical operation does not matter. However, with non-commutative algebra, you must acknowledge that there is no rule that x • y = y • x, rather, it is quite possible that x • y ≠ y • x.
Complete: An identity condition of wholeness. Complete means finished, as when a work of art is complete. Complete does not mean at an end. Complete is perpetual until whatever is complete ends.
Complex numbers include any kind of number coupled with imaginary i. Coupled includes mathematical operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, roots, squares, matrices, etc. For example, 4i, 4/i, 4 + i, 4i, etc.
Conclusions can be derived through the cognitive functions of logical deduction and logical induction.
Congruent: A physiological feeling (you feel it in your physical body, for instance in your gut or in your heart, and it feels right!) accompanying the sentient knowledge ≃ certainty of the truth of what you assume or believe. Congruency is reliable but not infallible, as a physiological check on the accuracy of your cognitive beliefs and assumptions. With many repetitions you will be able to sharpen the accuracy of feeling congruent. The congruency check for truth value is a method from Neurolinguistic Programming.
Conscience: The function of ego consciousness intentionally choosing a set of values, which makes it possible to compare your actions with your chosen values, which gives you the choice point to do the right thing, or not. However, the subtle voice within, that leads your ego conscious self to question the morality of any action you take, is actually witness consciousness observing without interruption and without judgement, and presenting your ego with that information, straight-up. (See context higher logical level choice point).
Consciousness: There are three categories of one holon unity of one whole consciousness: 1) superconsciousness, 2) witness consciousness and 3) ego consciousness.
Ego consciousness: The private personal consciousness with power of intentional create-manifest immaterial causality including intention, attention, choice and action. Ego consciousness has functions of cognition (thought), affection (feelings and emotions), and sensation (five senses: see, hear, taste, smell and touch).
Witness consciousness is the bridge shared consciousness between ego consciousness and superconsciousness. Witness automatically says yes to whatever the subject matter of the attention of ego consciousness is, then interacts with superconsciousness and delivers the necessary information for ego consciousness to get more of what ego consciousness pays attention to. Witness consciousness is a perfect servant consciousness for ego consciousness.
Superconsciousness is the hypostasis, the first-first, the first object genesis-emanated by eternal. Superconsciousness has intentional power of genesis-create immaterial causality
Enself is the collective ego consciousness, which is a holon unity of one consciousness.
Hard Problem of Consciousness: There is no explanation for how a physical brain could generate sentient experiences of what it feels like to be a human being. There is no theory to explain how physical brains can experience qualia, for example, the experience of seeing red, or tasting fudge. There is no theory to explain a path from immaterial category to physical category. There is no theory to explain a path from eternal to physical. There is no theory to explain the immaterial category exists, to explain consciousness exists or to explain eternal exists. I introduce the first coherent theory of consciousness including resolution of the hard problem of consciousness in this manuscript. (See mind; mind-body problem).
Theory of consciousness: I present what may be the first theory of consciousness. It is possible to know: 1) the purpose of consciousness, 2) what caused consciousness to exist, 3) what consciousness is, and 4) how consciousness works. Notwithstanding that knowledge of consciousness, consciousness necessarily remains ineffable.
Consciousness drives the bus: It is certain that ego consciousness armed with knowledge of the set of inviolable laws of physics, which operate automatically, can make intentional use of those laws to command physical objects, say land a human on the moon. Furthermore, it is coherent to infer that superconsciousness genesis-creates the first physical object in the first universe. (See path from eternal to physical).
Looking: Ego consciousness attention guided by ego consciousness intention. Looking can be drunken-monkey looking, which is my term for consciousness looking without intention directing attention. That kind of looking is powerless; there is no mastery in it. Looking becomes powerful, when attention (looking) operates under command of consciousness intention, which is intentional bestowal of meaning. That kind of looking empowers the looker, say you, the reader, and mastery is possible with practice.
Consensus is when humans agree with each other about what they know for sure. Consensus is the foundation for civilization and justified knowledge is the foundation for consensus.
Conserved: The essence of an object is sustained even as details associated with the object change. For example, Plato’s Forms are conserved even as forms change. A river remains a river even as the entire contents of water flowing through it change constantly, or a human being remains a human being, notwithstanding the natural changes associated with ageing. In physics, the total quantity of momentum and the total quantity of mass are conserved in the whole universe, even though momentum and mass change perpetually in location and form.
Constituent: All complex objects have an internal structure made from constituent parts. Simple objects have no internal structure, therefore no constituent parts. Quantum elementary objects are simple. Macro-scale objects (very large) can be simple, for example emptiness.
Contemplation: Buddhist term for illumination of consciousness in which all dualistic separation 1) subject to consciousness, 2) consciousness itself, and 3) objects of consciousness is stripped out. Direct sentient feeling experience knowledge of pure consciousness being. Also called enlightenment, nirvana and samadhi. (See enlightenment; illumination).
Context higher logical level: Witness consciousness makes it possible for a person to be aware, I am angry, which is a contextual logical level, quite distinct from the content logical level. The content logical level is, “I am angry because some idiot called me a loser.” The two logical levels, context and contents, combined, is an instance of Möbius entangled logical levels. This distinction permits a person to gain powerful leverage when finding solutions to problems, for example dealing with anger instead of angry about this or that, permits you to resolve all your anger issues at once.
Choice point: If ego bothers to consult witness consciousness, thereby becoming aware simply, I am angry, that offers a choice point. Awareness of I am angry does not require that you know why you are angry. That is good, because a lot of people do not even know what they are angry about. It is possible to deal with all your anger all at once, which is certainly more efficient than dealing with one specific cause of anger, imagined or actual. Whenever you are aware of what you are doing, in the sense you can name it, that is possible because witness consciousness is presenting you with simply true objective what-is information, and that creates the choice point.
Continuum: A continuous sequence without bound, which literally would mean no empirical observation of the beginning or the end of the process, for instance it would not be possible to determine the smallest or largest quantity in a sequence of changing quantity. I infer that continuous does not actually exist in the physical category. Continuum only exists in immaterial (say consciousness), because infinitesimal fundamental elementary physical units are indivisible, which means there is some minimum Planck quantity unit of measure, and infinite does not exist for anything physical. Total units of any physical thing can only be uncountable but cannot increase without bound. (See atom; atomistic, relational interpretation of quantum mechanics).
Continuous: Without interruption; a ceaseless flow, for as long as the object exists, for instance a human being is continuous, until death of that human being. Tautological identity, for instance x = x, or 5 = 5, or human being a = human being a, is continuous, without interruption, until those objects cease to exist. Continuous also means there is no assembly of parts in sequence to cause existence to begin. Nevertheless, continuous captures sequence, for example one distinct breath after another in continuous breathing. (See continuum).
Convergence: (See divergence).
Correlation: Relations between two or more objects.
Complementary correlation, say up and down mutually define each other (they are not logically contradictory) in actual existence domain.
Superposition correlation, say [up/0/down]; a holon unity of two logically contradictory state conditions that exist in coherence in near-existence domain.
Causality correlation: One object causes another object to exist or change in some way. For example, applying sufficient heat causes water to boil.
Cosmogony: Explanation of what caused the first physical object in the first universe. There are no tools in either the science of physics or mathematics of physics that can explain what caused the first physical object in the first universe, therefore there is no cosmogony in fundamental physics cosmology.
Cosmological principle: The distribution of matter in any volume of the universe looks roughly the same as in any other volume, regardless of what direction you look; which means emptiness is isotropic. The cosmological principle is a sound logical inference from the idea that the laws of physics are the same everywhere. One implication (false) is that there is no ‘edge’; there is no place to go where the universe just ends and one could look in some direction and see what is beyond the edge. (See hole; space hole; visible universe).
Cosmology: Cosmology, the story of our whole physical universe, is considered fundamental physics. Cosmology explains how our universe began, explanation of the first object or event, a set of initial conditions, a set of automatic laws of physics, explanations of how laws of physics govern everything physical (classical, relativity and quantum physics), and makes predictions of what is possible to occur in the future, limited by the uncertainty of the standard model of quantum particle physics (SMpp) including quantum mechanics.
creatio ex nihilo (Thomas Aquinas): Not created from any pre-existing physical material mass, and not created from any instance of physical mechanistic deterministic or uncertainty causality. creatio ex nihilo does not mean creation from nothing. For instance, something (eternal), exists without beginning and that creates (immaterial intentional causality) everything that exists with beginning. (See ontology; ontological proof).
Creation: Penultimate create power. Something begins to exist for the very first time. Eternal (genesis-emanate; omni create), superconsciousness (genesis-create; ultimate create), and ego consciousness (create-manifest; penultimate create) are the only objects that have power of immaterial intentional creation causality. (See causality; immaterial intentional causality; and genesis).
D
Decoherence: The transformation of coherence between two quantum elements that are logically contradictory nevertheless exist as single holon unity of superposition wholeness inside near-existence domain (the domain of possible to exist as mathematical abstraction, but not yet actually physical), to resolve the logical contradiction by physically manifesting one only of the logically contradictory pair inside actual existence domain.
Deduction: Applying cognitive (mental) logical thinking such that a conclusion follows necessarily from the stated premises. Deductions are tautological statements; if premise one and premise two are correct then the conclusion must necessarily be true. For instance, premise one, Socrates is a man. Premise two: All men are mortal. Therefore (conclusion), Socrates is mortal. Deductive statements are false if one or both premises are not true. A deductive argument is sound if and only if it is both valid, and all premises are actually true.
Degree of freedom: Each degree of freedom entails (permits) some kind of power of action or function, for example motion in some direction. The three spatial dimensions (length, width and height) permit motion within area (length times width) and within volume (length times width times height). Spatial dimension entails location degrees of freedom, and temporal dimension (according to relativity physics) entails time degrees of freedom. Ego consciousness entails cognitive (thinking), effective (feelings and emotions) and sensation (five senses, see, hear, taste, taste, smell and touch) degrees of freedom. Dimensions are degrees of freedom.
Detachment: Interacting with all objects in your external reality without allowing any of those objects to fundamentally determine your inner states of consciousness. You treat all objects as if they were the same because you know they have no intrinsic meaning. You have freewill power to bestow meaning upon everything. With spiritual mastery you disengage from attachment, avoidance and addiction. Detachment does not mean you do not have feelings, only that your feelings are not determined by any external circumstances. Sustained detachment is a high state of ego consciousness mastery. Sticky attachment to good things can easily lead to addictions, for instance feeling there is never enough food, sex, money, power, etc.; then being driven to get more of what you feel that you are lacking enough of. Sticky attachment to bad things, also easily leads to addiction, for instance using physically addicting drugs to make yourself temporarily feel better.
Determinism: There is a set of knowable initial state conditions at the beginning or our whole physical universe which includes a knowable complete set of laws of physics which operate automatically to govern all physical objects. That means, in principle (by assumption, not by fact), all events in the universe, including human decisions and actions, are causally inevitable, and it is possible to predict everything that will happen in the future. Therefore, according to determinism, freewill does not exist. Determinism is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Dimension: Location hosting other objects. Dimension is an ultimately simultaneous object (exists everywhere all at once). The primary identity condition of dimension is that it offers degree(s) of freedom to objects that occupy it. Dimensions, domains and mediums are all ultimately simultaneous hosts, therefore they host each other because they exist inside each other, closer than touching, while remaining distinct objects. (See degree of freedom), but only dimensions offer degrees of freedom, domains and mediums do not.
Spatial dimensions: Three spatial dimensions (degrees of freedom); length, width and height. Degrees of freedom: area, volume, motion forward, backward, turn right and left, curvilinear and vertical motion.
Temporal dimension: In relativity physics, real clock time, real calendar time and imaginary time. It is coherent to treat time as a dimension, but I do not treat time as a dimension. Degrees of freedom: motion through time, duration of time, record keeping, social organization. (See time).
Consciousness dimension: Awareness of awareness dimension; knowing that you know. Degrees of freedom: attention, intention, choice and action.
Zeroth dimension: Total set of Euclidean empty zero points. Degrees of freedom: local, global and universal, ultimately simultaneous (objects exist everywhere all at once, inside each other closer than touching).
Six ultimately simultaneous dimensions: three spatial dimensions, one 4th temporal dimension (according to relativity physics), one 5th consciousness dimension, and one zeroth dimension = total set of Euclidean empty zero points.
Divine design: If you find a watch you can safely infer there was a watchmaker. (William Paley) If you find a universe you can safely infer there was a universe Maker (aseity, God).
Divergence: Quantity values increase or decrease without bound. Divergence is a fatal infinity error in mathematics. It is logically unlawful to use infinity as either an operator or a solution, in any mathematical calculation because infinity is a concept not any cardinal number. If your solution is approach but never reach some limit you do not have any specific quantity value for a solution. Converge means finding some specific quantity value for a solution. This is the symbol for limit calculus that approaches 0 (-∞) infinitesimal, and infinite large (+∞).
Domain: Location hosting other objects. Dimensions, domains and mediums are all ultimately simultaneous hosts, therefore they host each other because they exist inside each other, closer than touching, while remaining distinct objects. Domains are the cosmic scaffolding, the dualistic structural architecture of our whole physical universe. Dimensions and mediums do not sort possible to exist from actually does exist. There are two ultimately simultaneous existence domains 1) near-existence domain and 2) actual existence domain. The primary identity condition of domain is to entail the strict dualistic separation of possible-to-exist objects (near-existence domain) and objects that actually do exist (actual existence domain). If both categories of objects were hosted in actual existence domain, that would generate irreconcilable fatal logical contradictions, infinite regress and reification.
Near-existence domain: Ultimately simultaneous host location for all possible-potential existence objects, before any generic [observations/transactions/interactions/relations]. Objects in near existence domain have some probability to exist, but they are not physical, yet, therefore they can only be described with probability mathematics. Near-existence domain is the host location of meta-information first information matrix, now, a set of laws of physics, all quantum elementary particles, all superpositions, etc. Logical contradiction is conserved in the form of superpositions [true/0/false], which means the possibility of true or false is conserved in near-existence domain but is fatal logical error in actual existence domain, where only true or false can actually exist, but not both in the same location at the same time. All meta-information first information is conserved in near-existence domain, including the complete set of laws of physics. Physicists do not acknowledge near-existence domain, but the inevitable result is viral infection of quantum mechanics with fatal logical contradictions, for instance, claiming a single quantum mass unit exists at the same time in the same place as both particle and wave, or claiming a single quantum mass unit exists simultaneously in every possible location in the emptiness within the space boundary of our whole physical universe at the same time.
Actual existence domain: Ultimately simultaneous host location for all concrete physically real objects, after any generic [observations/transactions/interactions/relations]. Objects hosted inside actual existence domain cannot be described with probability mathematics, but all other kinds of mathematics can describe everything that is physical in actual existence domain.
Double-slit experiments: Laboratory experiments in which a single quantum elementary particle (for instance electron, photon, etc.) are directed into an interferometer device with two slits for entry, and a recording screen located after the two slits, which records either a single dot point hit (which only a particle can do), or a cloud of dot point hits which only a wave can do). These experiments clearly show superposition is real (that every quantum elementary mass unit is intrinsically both particle and wave) and show that consciousness causally interacts with physical mass units, which is an unambiguous violation of locality, realism, physical causality and physical closure.
Dualism: Multiplicity of distinct objects exist. More than one object is real, they exist and the information we have about them is true. Dualism within monism is necessary. Dualism necessarily includes categories within categories, wholes within wholes, shapes within shapes, size within size, levels within levels, etc. Dualism exists inside monism-wholeness, for instance parts, constituents, internal structure (complex), and even sequence of assembly, exists inside monism.
E
Electron: Fermion quantum elementary matter mass particles in the Standard Modelpp with charge -1 and spin ½. They are constituents of complex atoms which are constituents of all objects large enough to see and hard enough to bump into. Electrons obey the Pauli exclusion principle, which states that no two fermions can occupy the same location in emptiness at the same time. Electrons are the primary carrier of electricity in matter mass solids. A cloud of negatively charged electrons surrounds the nucleus of atoms.
Electron configuration: Energy of the atom. The electron configuration is determined by the charge of the nucleus, which is determined by the number of protons, or atomic number. An atom is a complex whole unit system that generates and carries a quantity of energy. The interaction of the elements of that complex whole system is source of the energy. Electrons have intrinsic electrical charges, but not intrinsic energy; the energy is generated by the whole atomic system.
Elementary: Subject to no further reduction, deconstruction, or division. Elementary is fundamental, but fundamental is not necessarily elementary. Simple with no internal structure, no internal constituent parts, not made from something else. Examples include all quantum fundamental elementary particles, like electrons and photons. Elementary objects can be constituents of complex objects, for instance electrons inside atoms, atoms inside molecules, and molecules inside material physical objects. (See simple).
Embedded: One object is located inside another object. Embedded permits a higher logical level to be symbolized inside a lower logical level. For example, three-dimensional volume (say a cube) can be visually represented inside a two-dimensional area (say a square) on a flat sheet of paper. (See flat).
Emergent: The whole is other than and more than the sum of its parts. An emergent property of a system is one that is not a property of any component of that system but is still a feature of the system as a whole. Knowledge emerges from taking university courses. Meaning emerges from analyzing facts. Ineffable life emerges from a set of physical state conditions. A mind emerges from an immaterial ego consciousness docked to a physical brain. A whole human being emerges from the sum of its parts but remains other than and more than that sum of parts. All causality is emergence, but not all emergence is causality.
Weak emergence: The whole is “greater than” the sum of its parts. Weak emergence describes new properties arising in systems as a result of the interactions of constituent parts at a fundamental level (bottom-up outcomes).
Strong emergence: The whole is “other than” the sum of its parts. Direct causal action of a high-level system on its components (top-down outcomes). Outcomes (qualities) produced through strong emergence are irreducible to the system’s constituent parts. Physics lacks well-established examples of strong emergence.
Empirical observation: Looking at some object to determine if it actually exists and to determine if the information that we have about the object is true. Only ego consciousness can empirically observe.
Empty: A container with no contents.
Emptiness: Emptiness is simple, without internal structure, not made with constituent parts. Emptiness is not massive, not made from quantum elementary particles. Quantization of emptiness is with reference to the total set of Euclidean empty zero points because they occupy the whole universe everywhere all at once, which ultimately simultaneous. Emptiness is an ultimately simultaneous medium hosting all the physical objects that occupy the whole physical universe. It is coherent to state our universe is a hole hosted inside eternal, and that hole encloses a humongous volume of emptiness. Emptiness automatically fills all holes. Emptiness is not displaced by any physical object that occupies some location inside the whole universe. Furthermore, emptiness remains even in what physicists call a vacuum.
Energy: Ability to do work. Only free energy can be applied to do work. Energy captured by matter mass objects cannot be used to do work, unless that energy is released, for example through fusion and fission nuclear reactions. E = mc2 is the statement that total energy quantity is equal to total mass quantity times speed of light squared quantity, in other words total energy equals total mass and that total is conserved in the whole physical universe. Matter mass and energy (motion) mass are equivalent and can easily transform from each to the other. There are two fundamental quantities that are conserved according to classical mechanics: total energy and total momentum.
Spiritual energy: It is common in spiritual practices, from many different spiritual systems, to use the term energy to be synonymous with the concept pure consciousness. For example, in Tantra, you practice gaining mastery of circulating your lifeforce energy throughout your physical body and exchanging it with your sacred sexuality partner. Also, in the kundalini system, you attempt to move your energy up from the perineum, through the spinal chakra centers, out the top of your head, merging into the cosmic oceanic consciousness.
In spiritual practice it is common to refer to the pure state of conserved immaterial information as energy, but that is distinct from energy that physicists define as ability to do physical work. Physicists deny consciousness can do physical work. Physicists deny that consciousness can interact with physical mass and cause physical mass to change, despite all the double-slit experiments that clearly demonstrate (it is empirically observable in a laboratory), that ego consciousness looking, does cause mass to take either particle or wave form.
It is so common, so well-established and so well-accepted, in systems of spiritual practice across the globe, to refer to state condition information as energy, that I see no compelling reason to change that usage. Furthermore, I suggest grounding in the way I am using the term, does mean a human being can cause changes in physical reality, which means grounding is a specific practical spiritual practice, which illustrates the real connection between consciousness and physical along the real path from eternal to consciousness to physical.
Enlightenment: Ego consciousness illumination, knowledge through identity (enlightenment), is a direct subjective sentient feeling experience knowledge certainty of natural ultimately simultaneous wholeness identity. Feels like identity is the experience in consciousness of identical-with-distinction. (See contemplation; illumination).
Enself: I AM THAT; feels (sentience) like certainty. Enself is to being what subconscious is to consciousness. There are spiritual practices that entail knowing subconscious contents, and enself being. Unself is the external-other self before you have the enself-awareness experience. Enself is the external-other self after you have the enself-awareness experience. For example, the enself-awareness experience reveals that unself is and always was enself. Such an experience is an experience of enlightenment, to light within.
Entail: A higher logical level permits or makes possible a lower logical level. Examples include monism entails dualism, wholeness entails parts, numbers entail counting.
Entropy: A quantitative measure, for instance some probability, of information disorder, such that ordered information moves relentlessly toward 100% chaos disorder, with zero ordered information remaining, which is equilibrium. The only way to move out of equilibrium is with an infusion of energy, to power bringing some order to disordered information.
Ephemeral: Temporary, short lived, finite time to exist; I watched the shadow on my wall slowly disappear as the angle of light changed.
Epiphany: A revelatory flash injection into ego consciousness presented by witness consciousness via superconsciousness, as a gestalt image densely encoded with information, which is decoded by ego consciousness looking at and bestowing meaning upon it. It is coherent to infer that epiphany is a 6th sense.
Epistemology is knowledge of true and false. Tautological certainty is epistemological, because every tautology is necessarily true, assuming it avoids logical contradiction.
Epistemological limit: A thing cannot explain itself.
Epistemological test: Determination if information is true vs false.
Esse: From Latin “to be,” for instance, essential nature or essence.
Eternal: Existence without beginning. Abstraction names for eternal are God, Aseity, Brahman, Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah, Maker, First Cause, Prime Mover, etc. Eternal is not acknowledged in the science of physics. The doctrine of physicalism with the false metaphysical assumption physical closure denies that eternal exists. (See perpetual).
Equality: Mathematical term for identity of quantity (not identity) that can be expressed in different units of measurement. For example, 1in = 2.54cm, or 1kg = 2.20462lb, or 5 = 5. Equations with the left side separated from the right side by the equal sign =. (See identity).
Transitivity equality: Axiom of Peano arithmetic, if a = b, and b = c, therefore a = c.
Equivalence: Two or more objects can transform from each to other. For instance, 1 inch = 2.54 cm is a statement of equivalence, an equality-of-quantity statement but not a statement of identity. Also, quantum wave-particle duality (the same object can behave as either a wave or a particle, or matter mass and energy mass transform from each to the other. The mathematical notation equivalence sign ≃, replacing the equal sign = means a value approaches but does not reach identity. Equations with the ≃ separating the left side from the right side is an equivalence relation, not an identity relation. Ultimately simultaneous is an equivalence, not an identity relation state condition. For example, ego consciousness equivalent → ≃ with enself, equivalent → ≃ with witness consciousness, equivalent with → ≃ superconsciousness, equivalent → ≃ with eternal. (See identity; ultimately simultaneous).
Euclidean empty zero points: In Euclidean geometry Euclidean empty zero points are defined as real abstract mathematical points that exist with zero-dimension, zero extension and zero physical mass. It is necessary Euclidean empty zero points occupy everywhere, simultaneously, in our whole physical universe, without exception.
Everywhere-at-once: Fills the totality of emptiness enclosed within the space boundary of our whole physical universe. Everywhere all at once is an identity condition of the state condition ultimately simultaneous. Quantization of emptiness is the total set of Euclidean empty zero points which exist everywhere all at once. All ultimately simultaneous objects exist everywhere all at once, therefore, exist inside each other closer than touching.
Everywhere-is-local: An identity condition of local is ability to exchange information. Our physical universe is a holon unity of wholeness, a single live organism, GAIA. Within wholeness, everywhere is local, local necessarily exists inside wholeness, and that entails (permits) superluminal exchanges of information (faster than speed of light, instantaneous) because no distance to travel takes no time to get there. (See local; ultimately simultaneous local).
Evolution: The law of natural selection. Evolution is automatic and simple. It is the name for the empirically observable truth value, that living organisms thrive only if they can access whatever is necessary and without which they die. For example, trees thrive if the tree roots have access to water. Evolution is not an active agent; it does not do anything or cause anything to occur.
Existence includes exists without beginning and exists with beginning. Existence includes everything that is real which is everything that is something. Nothing does not refer to anything that could possibly or actually exist. Existence includes actually real, imaginary real, and appearance only = illusion real. Eternal exists.
Exponential: Extremely rapid increase in quantity. If there is an increase in quantity of say 10%, and that increase is applied at some regular interval of time, say per month or per year, 10% increase in the previous total quantity, is a simple increase in quantity, but if that increase is compounded, that means the next 10% increase applies to an increased total quantity, and if this sequence continues the total quantity increases very rapidly, exponentially.
Extrinsic: For any distinct object, everything that is not that object. Extrinsic is a meta-state condition, a state condition of state conditions.
F
Fallacy of misplaced concreteness: Alfred North Whitehead’s term for the fatal logical category error, reification. (See reification).
Fascism: Form of government ruled by a dictator with powers of a king, or even beyond the limits of a king. That person is not accountable to any other human beings (in the fascist country), nor to any law. Rule of law under fascism is exactly, only and always, what the dictator says it is. All laws established by the dictator can be enforced by violence including death for disobedience. The only option for citizen resistance is guerilla tactics and ultimately violent revolution to overthrow the dictator.
Fatalism: Human beings are powerless, in other words whatever you actually do was predetermined before you did it (without exception). What you actually do is determined by a set of initial conditions at the beginning of our universe, plus a set of knowable automatic laws of physics. In other words, according to fatalism, all events are decided by fate (beyond human control), therefore humans have no power to influence the future or indeed the outcome of their own thoughts and actions. There is no freewill according to fatalism. Fatalism is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Feels like identity: The illumination of ego consciousness sentient feeling experience knowledge of ultimately simultaneous. Ego consciousness knows it is ultimately simultaneous with collective ego consciousness, enself. Ego consciousness knows that enself is ultimately simultaneous with witness consciousness. Ego consciousness knows that witness consciousness is ultimately simultaneous with superconsciousness. Ego consciousness knows that superconsciousness is ultimately simultaneous with eternal. All that feels like identity in the illumination enlightenment of ego consciousness.
Fermion: Quantum elementary matter particles in the Standard Modelpp, for example including six kinds of quarks (for instance up and down) and six kinds of leptons (for instance electrons), that are constituents of atoms that are constituents of all complex matter mass objects large enough to see and hard enough to bump into. Fermions obey the Pauli exclusion principle, which states that no two fermions can occupy the same location in emptiness at the same time. All fermions have spin ½.
Field: A volume of emptiness within which physical relations of particles and forces occurs. Field boundaries can extend in emptiness and fields can also move as whole distinct objects. Fields can have energy content and momentum, like particles. For example, electrical and magnetic forces moving is an electromagnetic field, and force of gravity moving is a gravitational field.
Fifth Natural Force: I introduce the 5th natural force, lifeforce, which governs ineffable life and immaterial consciousness. The lifeforce is the highest logical level of the natural forces, one force to rule them all. Lifeforce is not acknowledged by physicists. (See forces).
Fission: The nuclear reaction splitting an atom into two, generating two smaller atoms and releasing a large quantity of energy. Fission is the nuclear reaction in civilian power plants and military nuclear bombs (weapons of mass destruction).
Flat: Two dimensions, say length and width entail area, which is length x width. If a shape is flat, it is strictly limited to two dimensions, two degrees of spatial freedom. On a flat surface the angles of a rectangle add to 180°, for example Euclidean flat geometry. On a flat surface two parallel lines will never intersect. Physicists falsely claim the shape of our whole physical universe is flat, but that cannot be correct since by the simplest empirical observation it is easy to confirm (say looking into the night sky) that there is volume of emptiness. Volume is strictly limited to three dimensions, length x width x height. Furthermore, it is true that in spherical geometry, angles of a triangle do not add to 180° and as two parallel lines approach the surface boundary of the sphere they will converge and intersect each other. (See embedded).
Force: An application of energy that causes matter mass particles and fields to speed up or slow down their momentum as they propagate through the emptiness of space. In quantum particle physics the term force is also a synonymous term interaction. For example, the four natural forces are also the four natural interactions: Weak nuclear force = weak interaction. Strong nuclear force = strong interaction. Electromagnetic force = electromagnetic interaction. Force of gravity = gravitational interaction.
Fundamental Forces (physics): In the Standard Modelpp there are three fundamental forces, also called interactions. The only reason the fourth fundamental force, gravity, is omitted is because the force carrier particle, graviton, for the force gravity has not been confirmed. These four forces are not reducible to more basic interactions. The four fundamental forces include gravity, electromagnetism, weak nuclear and strong nuclear forces. It is common in physics to describe particles, fields and forces to cause each other by interacting with each other. However, it seems intuitively obvious that particles, fields, and forces are a physical ecology system, a holon unity of wholeness. For example, an elementary photon particle is a quantum of the electromagnetic field, and the force carrier for the electromagnetic force. (See Fifth Natural Force - Lifeforce).
Force carrier particle: In quantum physics a force carrier is a type of particle that gives rise to fields and forces. Each of the four forces has a force carrier particle. gage boson, Higgs boson, scalar boson, tensor boson, W boson, and Z boson. I do not go into detail about these particles in The Secret Cosmos Volume One. That content is in Volume Two. (See force; fundamental forces – physics).
Forms (forms): (See Plato).
Fractal self-similarity: The fractal shape of a complex geometric pattern repeats itself at any scale (in principle without bound of size either approaching infinitesimal or infinite). For example, however large the fractal image may be, it will have the same shape as the tiniest observable instance of that shape inside the larger fractal image. Fractal self-similarity is an instance of information interference patterns.
Freewill: A set of substantial (not illusion, not just appearance) powers of ego consciousness docked to a live physical body/brain/central nervous system organism (mind of a human being) including: 1) intentional immaterial create-manifest causality, 2) powers of attention, intention, choice and action, 3) power of cognition (thinking, abstraction, bestowing meaning upon everything physical), 4) power of affective (feelings and emotions), and 5) power of five senses (see, hear, smell, taste and touch).
Functions (not mathematics): What an object can do. For instance, one function of quantum elementary electrons is to be the negatively charged constituents of complex atoms.
Fundamental: The ground for explaining some complex object, process or event; the beginning of some complex object, process or event. Fundamental is an identity condition of wholeness because anything that is simultaneously complete and irreducible is fundamental. Elementary is fundamental because it is irreducible. A quark cannot be subdivided into anything smaller. Complex is fundamental, not because it is irreducible, rather complex (with internal structure) is fundamental because, once any object is complete, which means the instant it begins to exist, it will be destroyed if it is disassembled. Examples of fundamental include hypostasis (the first-first), superconsciousness hypostasis, cosmology of physics (story of the whole physical universe), quantum elementary particles (constituents of all complex physical objects), the first physical object in the first universe, all simple objects with no internal structure like emptiness, a set of core beliefs and values, etc. (See simple, elementary, complete, wholeness).
Fusion: Fusion is the nuclear reaction occurring naturally in stars. Fusion means two or more atomic nuclei (for example, nuclei of hydrogen isotopes deuterium and tritium), combine to form one or more atomic nuclei and neutrons. Nuclear fusion releases humongous quantities of energy.
G
GAIA: James Lovelock’s term describing Planet Earth as a whole live organism. I extend GAIA as a term to describe our whole universe as a live organism.
Generic: A logical level capable of describing many instances and even across distinct categories; also belonging to or relating to the whole. For example, the term wholeness can refer to any whole object regardless of what category that object might be an instance of. Generic identity conditions of physical wholeness include: 1) holographic information redundancy, 2) Möbius entangled logical level information and 3) fractal self-similarity information.
Genesis: Omni-create; only eternal has power of genesis-emanate. Eternal genesis-emanates superconsciousness which is the first object to exist with a beginning. Genesis is commonly used to denote a one-off event, but in my cosmology with cosmogony, eternal perpetually live streams superconsciousness. Superconsciousness has the ultimate power of creation, which is genesis-create, and superconsciousness perpetually sustains the whole physical universe. Superconsciousness also genesis-creates now which is perpetual, which is necessarily always for the very first time, in fact there is no time in perpetual now. It is always now.
Genocide: Opposite of genesis. Mankind is engaged in systematically undoing God’s genesis-creation. An identity condition of physical wholeness of Planet Earth is climate. Climate simultaneously affects everyone everywhere on the planet. Climate change is physical wholeness reacting to human beings. It is now clear that the collective actions of human beings are causing climate change. Ignoring climate change caused by human beings is a collective act of ecocide-genocide (ecological genocide).
Gestalt: Any an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum of its parts. (See now gestalt image).
Global: With reference to the whole finite Planet Earth. Global instantiates universal. Global is inside universal. Global entails local. All instances of local exist simultaneously, at the same time, inside global. Any state condition that is global necessarily applies everywhere locally. Any state condition that is universal necessarily applies to everywhere that is global and local.
Gluons: (See force carrier particle).
Gravitation; gravity: The force gravity; which is (according to relativity physics), the bending of spacetime. Massive objects are drawn toward each other. I agree massive objects are drawn to each other, but deny 1) that time is a dimension, and 2) that space, which I call emptiness, can bend, twist or propagate. Emptiness is ultimately simultaneous, which means it occupies the total set of Euclidean empty points, everywhere all at once, therefore, it is impossible for emptiness to bend, twist and propagate. (See time; spacetime).
Graviton: The hypothetical force carrier particle for the force gravity. The graviton has not been confirmed therefore is omitted from the SMpp. The search is on for a unifying theory for quantum mechanics and gravity, a theory of everything (TOE).
Grounding: Meditation practice of holding your attention at the perineum, imagining floating in the emptiness of space without orientation (no up or down orientation), then intentionally drop (let go of any emotional stickiness, say avoidance or attachment or addiction) any state conditions either internal or external (feelings, physical pain, economic circumstances, relationships, etc.) that you do not want, and imagine them dissolving in the emptiness. When forms dissolve, they release any energy they had trapped, and that energy is freed to be used to create-manifest something new that you do want.
H
Hard Problem of Consciousness: (See consciousness).
Higgs boson: (See force carrier particle).
Higgs field: (See force carrier particle).
Hoarding: The act of privately appropriating physical (including financial) resources and depriving others of using them.
Hole: A boundary enclosing a volume of emptiness, which can host other physical objects including other holes. Every hole has a boundary that identifies inside and outside the hole. Hole and emptiness necessarily exist simultaneously, all-at-once, or not at all.
aseity omni-hole: Eternal aseity opens a hole (aseity omni-hole) in itself and that action is genesis-emanation of emptiness. Aseity omni-emptiness instantaneously fills the hole, as ordinary emptiness does with all holes, even in our physical universe. For example, holes + emptiness = wholeness.
Space hole: It is coherent to infer that the spherical space boundary of our whole physical universe is a hole hosted inside eternal. The space hole is hosted inside the aseity omni-hole (holes host other holes even inside our physical universe). That hole is filled everywhere all at once with a humongous volume of emptiness and that emptiness is an ultimately simultaneous medium that hosts all other objects that occupy our whole universe.
Holographic (hologram): The generic meaning of holographic is that each tiny piece of a whole object encodes ≃ 100% of the information in the whole object. Hologram is a recording (like a normal photograph), but what is recorded is not a fixed two-dimensional image of some object or scene, rather a hologram records at least two streams of laser light, from two different directions, reflecting off the image being recorded. Since each point in the hologram illuminates all the hologram, the whole object can be reconstructed from a small part of the hologram. When the same laser light is projected through the recorded hologram, a three-dimensional lifelike object is projected into view.
Holographic Information Redundancy: Each tiny piece of a hologram contains ≃ 100% of the information in the whole hologram, regardless of how tiny that piece is, ≃ (approaching) but never reaching zero in size.
Holon is unity of wholes within wholes.
Hubble radius of the Hubble sphere of our visible universe is approximately 14 billion light years; therefore, the diameter of our visible universe is approximately 28 billion light years because radius is one-half diameter of a great circle of a sphere. The visible universe is a small part of the total universe.
Hubris: One of the traps of ego consciousness is ego arrogance, the hubris of believing it is invulnerable and knows everything. For example, the concept of a theory of everything (TOE), which physicists claim physics and mathematics of physics can explain everything. Ironically, the other side of that trap is ego feeling inadequate and worthless. Hubris has two sides; ego often flips radically and sometimes violently between a feeling of complete grandiosity and a feeling of complete worthlessness.
Hypostasis: Eternal emanates the first-first, the abstract name for which is hypostasis, which is superconsciousness, the first object to exist with beginning, beginning of beginning, beginning of dualism inside monism.
I
I AM THAT: The sentient feeling experience knowledge ≃ certainty of illumination of ego consciousness (contemplation), in which you realize that your ego conscious self is ultimately simultaneous with enself (collective ego consciousness), and enself is ultimately simultaneous with superconsciousness, and superconsciousness is ultimately simultaneous with eternal. That experience feels like identity, but is actually ultimately simultaneous, which means objects exist inside each other closer than touching.
Idealism is metaphysical monism. According to idealism immaterial is the only category. For instance, “everything is consciousness,” “everything is spirit,” “everything is mind,” everything is ideas,” “everything is a mental construct,” etc. Idealism denies the physical category. Idealism denies dualism. I am not an idealist. (See solipsism).
Identity: Every object is exactly only and always itself. X = X exactly, only and always, in every possible universe. In all of mathematics, not just the system Peano Arithmetic, the only true identity possible using the equal sign “=”, is in the form 2 = 2 but not 2 + 2 = 4, because it is empirically obvious that 2 + 2 is not identical with 4, however, the same number is necessarily exactly itself, regardless of where or when it is applied, in every possible universe. Same for, say 1 inch = 2.54 cm; that is an equality-of-quantity statement or an equivalence statement, not a statement of identity. (See equality).
Identity and equal sign “=” or “≡”: Use of the equal sign “=” for any other purpose than some number is equal to itself, say 2 = 2, cannot be literally true, for example, humans = mammals, cannot be literally true, because the equality of the statement is asymmetric, which means only holds in one direction. It is true that all humans are mammals, but not all mammals are humans. Humans and mammals are not the same in every comparison, therefore, such a statement is equality-tautology true or is a statement of equivalence, but not identity-tautology true. In mathematics, the less common equal sign “≡” with three lines, is sometimes used to mean identity and sometimes to mean equivalence. In my cosmology ≡ is the tautology identity sign (not equivalence), therefore stronger than the equal sign “=”, ≡ is absolute tautology identity in every possible universe. Statements of natural a priori axioms are not in the form of equations, which means there is no ≡ identity sign used, nevertheless, they are statements of absolute tautology identity, which means: 1) any-thing is exactly, only and always itself, 2) true without exception, 3) true for every possible comparison, 4) necessarily globally true everywhere at-once in any particular universe, and 5) necessarily true in every possible universe.
Identity condition: Precisely that which makes any object be exactly, only and always itself, distinct from all other possible or actual objects.
Category identity condition: Precisely that which makes any category distinct from all other categories.
Mathematical identity condition: Mathematical abstraction description of an identity condition of some object or category.
Ignorance: Lacking information or knowledge.
Illumination: The inner light of ego consciousness increases in brightness intensity without limit. Ego consciousness illumination, knowledge through identity (enlightenment), is a direct subjective sentient feeling experience knowledge certainty of natural ultimately simultaneous wholeness identity. Feels like identity is the experience in consciousness of identical-with-distinction. (See enlightenment, contemplation).
Illusion: Objects have appearance with persistence and durability but no substance or being. Everything physical has ephemeral (short lived lifecycle) appearance but without substance because physical causality is automatic, not intentional. (See appearance; substance).
Real-illusion: Our whole physical universe is the real-illusion, an object with appearance but no actual substance, and no power of intentional immaterial causality. Illusion is real in the sense it is something, not nothing, and the information we have about it is true. Our universe is meta-illusion, which means illusion of illusions.
Immaterial Causality: (See causality).
Immortal: Live forever. (See infinite; eternal).
Indeterminate: Unknowable, which is a permanent state condition, cannot be overcome with any possible empirical observations, for instance it is impossible to create a methodology to specifically and accurately count all the grains of sand on Planet Earth. Also, it is impossible to specifically and accurately measure the boundary of any fractal object. On the other hand, non-deterministic is merely unknown until it is known, therefore, non-deterministic is knowable.
Indivisible: Cannot be subdivided into parts. (See irreducible).
Induction (inference): Applying cognitive (mental) logical thinking to derive general principles (bestow meaning) from data gathered by making observations of specific instances of information, objects and events. Logical inferences may be true or may be false. A true inference example: you observe that fire burns, and you conclude don’t expose skin to open flame. An inference that could be true or could be false example: you observe the ground is wet and you conclude it rained last night.
Ineffable: Beyond any possible complete, accurate and final definition, description, explanation or understanding. Life is ineffable. Eternal (God) is ineffable. Love is ineffable.
Inertia: Determines an object's resistance to acceleration when a force is applied. The greater the mass of a body, the smaller the change of motion produced by an applied force.
Infinite: Quantity (size or number of units) increases (infinity) or decreases (infinitesimal) without bound. Physical category is not infinite. No instances of physical category are infinite. Infinite is not any quantity number; it is an imaginary concept.
∞ +∞ -∞: Infinity symbol. Infinity is a concept not any actual cardinal or ordinal quantity number. Infinity means a quantity increases or decreases without bound. Infinity cannot coherently be accepted as either an operator nor a solution in any mathematical operation.
Infinitesimal: Quantity (size or number of units) approaches but never reaches zero quantity; quantity decreases without bound. The action of getting smaller in quantity never ends, never stops. Infinitesimal is not any quantity number; it is an imaginary concept. Approaching zero in physical quantity or size always terminates with the Planck unit of measurement.
Infinite regress: Fatal logical contradiction error in first-order logic. If there is an answer proposed for a question, and you ask what came before that, but you cannot come to ground with a coherent final answer, that is fatal logical infinite regress. For instance, when physicists say the universe began with a big bang, it is reasonable to ask, what came before the big bang? The only answer physicists offer to that question is the irrational statement that the whole physical universe created itself out of nothing. Since that is no answer at all, that is an instance of fatal logical infinite regress in fundamental physics cosmology. Physicists have no cosmogony in their cosmology. (See cosmogony and cosmology).
Omni-infinite: Omni-infinite Aseity exists without beginning or end, spatially, temporally, and mathematically. Infinity within the duality of our universe is not the same property, as shown by set theory. For instance, according to the theory of infinite sets, presumably, one-to-one correspondence, or bijection, means to compare one infinite set with another, element by element which could reveal that one of those sets may have members left over. If that is correct (by common assumption it is), it would mean infinity in our universe was not omni-infinite. (See omni and infinite).
Inflation: Expansion of the whole physical universe.
Eternal inflation: The false metaphysical assumption that the whole physical universe will continue to expand without bound, and forever.
Information: Facts (true), or misinformation (false), about objects that could possibly or actually do exist. Knowledge about something. Data as processed, stored, or transmitted by veracious devices and media. Consciousness is the only source of information. Mass can only host and carry information but cannot create original meta-information first information.
Claude Shannon’s information entropy: Information entropy is calculated as a probability prediction for how accurately the intended message will be delivered to some receiver, if the message is transmitted over a noiseless channel. Noiseless channel is an ideal concept, not any actual channel (there is no perfect channel). Accuracy is necessarily less than 1 = 100%. There is always some increased entropy, some loss or corruption of information, greater than zero, with any transmission.
Conserved meta-information: First information about information, rules for information, hosted inside the meta-information first information matrix, hosted inside near-existence domain. All information inside the meta-information first information matrix is conserved. Examples include the set of laws of physics, all superpositions, and blueprint information for every possible or actual object (Plato’s Forms) in the whole physical universe.
Ephemeral organized information: All information in actual existence domain is derived from conserved meta-information. All information in actual existence domain that carries meaning with truth value. None of this information is conserved, it is all ephemeral, which means all objects inside the whole universe are perpetually reconfigured and the whole physical universe is perpetually reconfigured, which, means they change constantly and last for a relatively short lifetime (Plato’s forms).
First-information: Conserved blueprint instructions for the whole physical universe, hosted inside the meta-information first information matrix, hosted inside near-existence domain. For instance, the set of laws of physics. (See meta-information; meta-information matrix; five ultimately simultaneous universal mediums)
Information interference pattern: Electromagnetic visible light radiation propagates in waves and waves have wavelengths, which is the distance from one peak to the next or from one trough to the next (which will be an equal distance). When two streams of visible light radiation cross, they generate information interference patterns, for example, when peaks meet peaks or troughs meet troughs, they amplify each other and when peaks meet troughs they cancel each other.
Information interference pattern (generic): (See holographic information redundancy, Möbius entangled logical levels and fractal self-similarity).
Meta-information matrix: Meta-information is first information, a set of rules for rules, or blueprint instructions for the whole physical universe and all objects hosted inside the universe. All information in the meta-information matrix is conserved, including a complete set of laws of physics. The meta-information matrix is hosted inside near-existence domain. The meta-information matrix must be caused to begin. The meta-information matrix is one of several ultimately simultaneous mediums all of which are genesis-created by superconsciousness.
In principle: Some object, event or state condition should be possible without contradicting inviolable laws of physics or resorting to logical contradictions.
Inside: There are three kinds of inside: 1) occupancy-inside, 2) constituency-inside, and 3) ultimately simultaneous (objects literally exist inside each other).
Constituency-inside is most fundamentally a mereological state condition (state condition of identity relations; part-whole relations). Constituency means one object, say object A, is a constituent of object B, which means object B is made from instances of object A. For example, quantum quarks are constituents of atoms, atoms are constituents of molecules, and molecules are constituents of materials, say wood.
Occupy-inside is most fundamentally a topological state condition, a state condition of spatial relations, where each thing is spatially in relation to where everything else is spatially. For instance, all physical objects occupy our whole physical universe organism, and each of those objects is located with reference to where all the other objects are located.
Ultimately simultaneous inside each other closer than touching is most fundamentally a topological state condition, with reference to where objects are spatially located with reference to where other objects are spatially located. Ultimately simultaneous is the meta-state condition that means, objects that otherwise exist as distinct objects, nevertheless also occupy exactly the total set of Euclidean empty zero points. For example, light and sound are literally everywhere inside a volume of space, all-at-once (at the same time); the sound and light do not exclude each other from occupying the same location at the same time.
Instantiate: One object instantiates (is a specific instance of) the object that entails it. An object is an instance of a category that entails it. For example, green is an instance of the category color.
Self-instantiation: An object instantiates itself. For example, the divine property, divine simplicity, is self-instantiating, which means there is only one instance of divine simplicity possible, because there is only one Aseity. The same is true of all omni-perfect, omni-divine, omni-simple qualities and properties; all divine properties are self-instantiating.
Intention: Human consciousness has the power to place physical objects where a human being wants them to be when they want them to be there.
Interactions: (See forces).
Intrinsic: That which is necessary for any object to exist; what any object actually is and without which an object could not be what it actually is at the instant that object is complete, which is the instant that object begins to exist. Intrinsic is a meta-state condition, a state condition of state conditions.
Inviolable: An object or state condition cannot be resisted, defeated or changed. For example, the laws of physics are inviolable.
Invisible: Not visible with physical eyes. An object that does not reflect electromagnetic visible light radiation is invisible. Invisible does not mean something does not actually exist. For instance, quantum elementary particles are invisible even with any possible technological magnification, nevertheless 17 quantum elementary particles have been experimentally confirmed to exist. Virtually all instances of the immaterial category are invisible, for example you can’t see thoughts, ideas and feelings.
Irreducible (indivisible): An identity condition of wholeness. All categories of wholeness are irreducible, which means dividing wholeness necessarily destroys wholeness. For instance, if you take apart a whole complex human being, you no longer have a human being, or if you disassemble a complex toaster, you no longer have a toaster. On the other hand, it is impossible to reduce, divide or disassemble any quantum elementary mass unit (quarks, electrons, and photons, etc.), precisely because they have no internal structure. It is also impossible to reduce, divide or disassemble any fundamental macro-scale object that exists without internal structure, for example, emptiness.
Irrevocable: Objects cannot be removed from existing, for example a set of laws of physics exists the moment our whole physical universe begins to exist and will continue unchanged until the whole universe ends. Irrevocable does not mean living objects cannot die.
J
Justified knowledge: (See knowledge).
K
Karma: A concept from Buddhism, which generically refers to the fact that what goes around comes back around, for instance it is certain there are consequences to every action you take, which is spiritually equivalent to Newton’s physical laws of motion; every action has a reaction. Karma enforces personal accountability and responsibility, even if you are not aware that is what is occurring. There is good and bad karma, and according to Buddhist doctrine, it is necessary to become detached from both; a principle I agree with. An identity condition of karma is sticky.
Kind: A category distinction, a difference of kind is a difference of categories, compared with a difference of degree. Sound is a different category from heat, while warm and hot are differences of degree within the category heat. (See category).
Knowledge: Information about what is real, which means something does exist and the information we have about it is true. All knowledge is instances of the immaterial category. Only immaterial ego consciousness has knowledge.
Knowledge through identity: Franklin Merrell-Wolff’s phrase naming the illumination of consciousness to high states of enlightenment. Buddhists use the term contemplation, which means dualistic separation 1) subject to consciousness, 2) consciousness itself, and 3) objects of consciousness is dissolved. Other similar terms include oceanic consciousness, God consciousness, Christ consciousness, nirvana, samadhi, etc. (See knowledge through ultimately simultaneous).
Knowledge through ultimately simultaneous: The phrase I created to describe high state of illumination of ego consciousness. With the greatest respect to Franklin Merrell-Wolff, in my sentient feeling experience knowledge of illumination of ego consciousness, it seems more accurate to state that the ego conscious self knows with ≃ certainty, the state condition ultimately simultaneous, which means exists everywhere all at once, and that feels like identity, but does not claim identity with eternal (God). Ultimately simultaneous objects exist inside each other closer than touching. (See knowledge through identity; simultaneous; ultimately simultaneous).
Justified knowledge is necessary, sufficient, consistent, complete and true. Sources of justified knowledge include a set of natural a priori axioms plus the sound logical inferences derived from them, the scientific method, and axiomized systems of mathematics. Illuminations of ego consciousness, conscious sentient feeling experience knowledge, for example epiphanic revelations to ego consciousness, can reveal natural a priori axioms.
L
Lagrangian Wave Function: A (very long) mathematical formula, describing rules for the entire standard model of quantum particle physics. Lagrangian wave function describes the mathematical rules for how everything physical behaves. Lagrangian wave function is the master set of mathematical rules of the SMpp; mathematical rules for how all physical particles, fields and forces can behave. Actually, there is a set (not just one) of Lagrangian wave functions to explain rules for various specific aspects of physical reality. (See Schrödinger Equation),
Law of attraction: Pay attention to what you are paying attention to, because you are going to get more of it.
Laws of physics: A set of inviolable laws that govern everything that is physical, but only that which is physical. Laws of physics do not govern any immaterial object, for instance immaterial consciousness. The three distinct categories of laws of physics include 1) classical physics (before 1900), 2) relativity physics (after 1900) and 3) quantum physics (after 1900). All categories of physics continue to be relevant to understanding our whole physical universe today.
Leptons: Fermion quantum elementary particles in the Standard Modelpp that are, together with quarks, constituents of atoms which are constituents of complex objects large enough to see and hard enough to bump into. There are six kinds of leptons including electron, electron neutrino, muon, muon neutrino, tau, tau neutrino.
Life: Organic and/or conscious objects; purpose of our whole physical universe live orgasm (= GAIA). Life is governed by the 5th natural force (= lifeforce). Inorganic is neither alive nor conscious. (See fifth natural force).
Light cone (past and future): Geometric illustration of light propagating through the emptiness of space that has had time to already reach us on Planet Earth (past light cone) or will eventually reach us on Planet Earth (future light cone). The visible light cone is equivalent to our visible universe. (See visible universe).
Local: Instantiates global and universal. Local is inside global which is inside universal. Local is defined by finite spatial and temporal boundaries. Local is with reference to a knowable spatial location (within some defined location boundary, and/or some specific coordinate address), at a specific knowable real clock and calendar time.
Einstein’s locality: Locality is a fundamental principle of relativity physics. Locality means there is necessarily a knowable physical path for exchange of information between physical objects, and any such exchange is slower than speed of light. Causality is real, cause always precedes effect and information is the necessary bridge between cause and effect. (See Bell’s inequality theorem).
Local in classical and relativity physics: Includes four identity conditions which are actual relations between two physical objects: 1) closeness (relatively short distance of physical separation), 2) exchange of information, energy and heat occurs between close objects, 3) speed of light is maximum speed limit, all physical matter mass objects move slower than speed of light, 4) known path for exchanges of information to follow.
Weak local means objects exist near to or touching each other. The definition of local in classical and relativity physics is what I define as weak local.
Strong local means objects exist-inside-each-other, they occupy the same limited set of Euclidean empty zero points.
Ultimately simultaneous local: Holon unity of wholeness means no distance to travel takes no time to get there. Three state conditions include: 1) Ultimately simultaneous objects occupy the total set of Euclidean empty zero points (fills the whole universe everywhere without exception), which means objects literally exist inside each other closer than touching. 2) Wholeness is the [universal/global/local] holon unity which makes everywhere local. 3) Everywhere local permits instantaneous (superluminal faster than speed of light) exchanges of information at any possible physical distance of separation. No distance to travel takes no time to get there. Ultimately simultaneous is not a state condition acknowledged by physicists.
Logical contradiction is when a statement of information is presented but one part of the statement directly contradicts or denies another part of the information, for example, “The stove element is on and glowing red hot. The stove element is off and safe to touch.”
M
Manifest: Collective ego consciousness looking resolves near-existence domain to actual existence domain.
Mass: Fundamental property of all matter objects. Mass is quantized as inertia, which is resistance to motion (acceleration). Heavier mass requires more free energy to cause it to accelerate or decelerate. There are two categories of mass, matter mass and motion mass. Total mass equals matter mass plus motion mass. E = mc2 is the statement that total energy quantity is equal to total mass quantity times speed of light squared quantity, in other words total energy equals total mass and that total is conserved in the whole physical universe. Matter mass and energy mass are equivalent and can easily transform from each to the other.
Massless: Physical objects that exist without mass. Of the 17 elementary particles in the Standard Modelpp it is consensus that only the photon and gluon have zero mass, but only the photon is experimentally confirmed to have zero mass. To claim photons are confirmed to have zero mass is confusing and contradictory, because there are two categories of mass, matter mass and motion mass. It is correct to say photons do not have matter mass (zero matter mass), but they certainly have motion mass, in fact, it is coherent to say they are pure motion mass particles because photons never stop moving. Photons are perpetual motion mass particles as long as they remain photons.
Materialism: Physical is the only category. Quantum elementary physical particles are everything, or interactions between physical particles are everything. Immaterial category does not exist. Immaterial consciousness is just something a physical brain is doing. Materialism is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Meaning: There is no intrinsic meaning in anything. The freewill power of ego consciousness means each human being can determine what everything means to themself, if something is important or not to you, for example, it makes me happy to have fresh-cut flowers on my table, or you believe in God. That does not mean each ego conscious human being can arbitrarily determine what everything is, for instance deny a set of natural a priori axioms carry truth value without reference to any additional evidence or proof.
Mechanistic: Every object behaves like a machine. The original design of a machine determines exactly what that machine can do, and no machine can violate the total set of automatic laws of physics. There are no known empirical observations of violations of those laws. However, laws of physics apply only to that which is physical. The laws of physics do not govern immaterial (non-physical) objects, say consciousness, but physicists deny the immaterial category even exists. Mechanistic is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Medium (generic): Location hosting other objects. A host object permits other objects to occupy it and entails objects propagating through the medium. Dimensions, domains and mediums are all ultimately simultaneous hosts, therefore they host each other because they exist inside each other, closer than touching, while remaining distinct objects. Emptiness is a medium that exists everywhere all at once inside our whole physical universe. Emptiness hosts all other objects that exist inside the whole physical universe. Electric and magnetic fields are the medium for light (electromagnetic visible light radiation). Planet Earth is the medium for seismic waves (earthquake waves). Cell membranes are the medium for nerve impulses. Electrical power transmission lines are the medium of alternating current electric power.
Medium (physics): the material through which a wave travels. (See ultimately simultaneous medium)
Five ultimately simultaneous universal mediums include superconsciousness, meta-information matrix, now, enself, emptiness. Everything that is ultimately simultaneous occupies the total set of Euclidean empty zero points. Ultimately simultaneous objects exist inside each other closer than touching.
Interplanetary medium (astrology): Material that fills the solar system.
Interstellar medium (astrology): Matter and energy between a galaxy’s stars.
Transmission medium (physics): Any material substance which entails waves and energy propagating (moving along a path).
Mereology: Intrinsic internal structural relations of physical objects. A system of knowledge of wholeness, of dualism within monism including 1) parts in relation to parts, 2) parts in relation to wholes, and 3) wholes in relation to wholes. Dualism (multiplicity of objects) entails mereology.
Mereology holon: unity of wholes within wholes. Monism is the maximum holon, everything is one thing.
Mereology simple: no intrinsic internal structure, no parts, no constituents, an object is exactly itself, not made from something else. (See simple).
Meta: Senior logical level; category of categories, rules for rules. For example, metaphysics of physics, thinking about thinking, and awareness of awareness. (See self-reference).
Meta-information: Information about information, rules of rules. For instance, true and false is meta-information about information. (See first information; meta-information matrix; five ultimately simultaneous universal mediums).
Meta-consciousness: Consciousness of consciousness, consciousness that is self-aware = aware of itself. (See consciousness).
Meta-abstraction: Abstraction of abstraction; uncountable levels of abstractions within abstractions. Expect more errors with additional layers of abstraction. For example, empirically observe some object, name the object, name its properties, functions and relations, quantize (apply mathematical abstractions) to measure quantity values of those properties, functions and relations, etc.
Metaphysical code: My term for the secret invisible code which is a set of conserved meta-information first information instructions for how that which is real (= exist + true) works.
Hard metaphysical code is physical monism. The physical category is the only category. Physical particles or relations between physical particles are everything. Immaterial category does not exist. Consciousness is just something a physical brain is doing. Freewill does not exist. Physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical (physical closure). Our whole physical universe created itself out of nothing. No empirical test can verify or deny the hard metaphysical code.
Soft metaphysical code: Immaterial category is the only category. Reality is entirely a mental construct of mind, spirit, and consciousness. Immaterial consciousness is everything (idealism). Everything real is appearance illusion real. No empirical test can verify or deny the soft metaphysical code.
Metaphysics: A subcategory of philosophy. According to Aristotle, metaphysics is “first philosophy” which means the ground for all knowledge of existence and truth. Metaphysics is grounded in a set of natural a priori axioms rather than being strictly dependent upon empirical observation of the physical world.
Mind: An instance of a private ego consciousness docked to a live physical body/brain/central nervous system organism. Mind is simultaneously a bridge between near-existence and actual existence domains, bridge between immaterial and physical, bridge between consciousness and physical, and bridge between eternal and physical. Mind is part of the path from eternal to consciousness to physical.
Mind-body problem: Can ego consciousness be boss of the physical body? The relationship between mental objects and physical objects remains ineffable. There remains strong disagreement about whether one or both the physical and immaterial categories even exists. There is no convergence of agreement about which came first (if they are sequential), for instance if one category emerges from the other or one category causes the other, or if consciousness can command physical, whether freewill exists, etc. The hard problem of consciousness is virtually the same problem, for example, how could a physical brain experience what it feels like to taste fudge? At this stage of history, we have more mystery and few answers to these fundamental questions. I present the first full theory of consciousness. (See consciousness; hard problem of consciousness).
Mind-body mastery: Requires resetting the ego consciousness default from ego-private mode to enself-commons mode. (See enself).
Möbius Loop: Cut a strip of paper, say one inch wide, from a sheet of normal size writing paper. Hold the ends and twist the length of paper once, then tape the ends together, retaining the twist. Because of the twist, two sides of the Möbius loop merge into one continuous surface. That one surface has one continuous edge boundary, which encloses (= hosts) one hole. Möbius loops exist naturally both on the surface boundary and inside the surface boundary of our whole physical universe.
Möbius Entangled Logical Levels: An identity condition of all Möbius loops is that they physically manifest entangled logical levels. Each point on the surface of a Möbius loop includes five logical levels: 1) point A begins, 2) point A ends, 3) point B begins, 4) point B ends, and 5) the exact boundary that simultaneously connects and separates A and B. Möbius entangled logical levels are information interference patterns.
Modal logic: Possibly necessary is necessary (axiom S5 = ◻ –| ◊). In modal logic ◻ = it is necessary that; ◊ = it is possible that; –| = is equivalent to. The fundamental premise of modal logic is that if possible did not exist, actual could not exist. Virtually all ontological proof statements are statements of modal logic. (See ontology; ontological argument - proof).
Momentum: Objects propagating (in motion) through emptiness have momentum. There are two fundamental quantities that are conserved according to classical mechanics: energy and momentum. Momentum includes linear momentum (= mass times speed moving in a straight-line vector direction), and angular momentum which could be moving along a curve, rotation around an axis, and revolutions of one object around another object.
Monism: Everything is one thing. Monism is omni wholeness. Everything that exists is necessarily inside omni-wholeness of monism. Monism includes everything while excluding only nothing. Monism is not God, rather an abstraction description of an identity condition of eternal. Eternal exists without beginning. Knowledge that eternal exists without beginning, is knowledge of monism. There is only one eternal which is the divine source of everything that exists with beginning, including everything physical and everything immaterial (including immaterial consciousness). It is necessary that monism permits dualism within monism. Multiplicity of objects necessarily exists within wholeness. Physical mereology permits not only parts within wholes but also wholes within wholes. There are essentially two variations of monism. The metaphysical concept (epistemological abstraction) of monism literally means everything is one thing. The two monism camps split from each other. One side assumes everything is physical. That is the hard metaphysical code; you can bruise yourself if you bump into hard physical objects. The other side assumes everything is immaterial. That is the soft metaphysical code; you cannot bump into anything immaterial. Neither side can appeal to any empirical test to prove or disprove their most fundamental assumption. No such empirical test is possible, even in principle. (See idealism – consciousness is everything and physicalism – particles are everything).
N
Near-Existence Domain: (See domain).
Necessary: An object must exist, must occur, must be true, must be false, etc. An object could not, not exist, could not, not be true, etc.
Neuroplasticity: The brain’s ability to change and adapt throughout life. It is now well documented in clinical trials that various psychoactive plant compounds dramatically enhance the brain’s neuroplasticity. For example, cannabinoids (from cannabis plants), LSD, psilocybin, ayahuasca, etc. “…the nervous system’s ability to reorganize its structure and function and adapt to its dynamic environment...neuroplasticity is essential for learning, memory, and recovery from neurological insults, as well as adapting to life experiences.” (Abigail E. Calder and Gregor Hasler). (See orange rectangles).
Neutrino: Fermion lepton elementary particles in the Standard Modelpp. There are three neutrinos, one for each of the primary leptons, electron neutrino, muon neutrino, and tau neutrino. Neutrinos are the smallest fermion elementary particles. Only the photon boson (not a fermion) is confirmed to have zero mass; the gluon boson is also assumed to be massless, but that is not confirmed. Neutrinos interact via the weak nuclear and gravity forces.
Nexus: A connection or series of connections linking two or more things.
Nirvana: (See contemplation).
Nominalisation: Using words traditionally defined as verbs, but intentionally using them as nouns; verbs-to-nouns, for instance, verb legalize to noun legalization, or verb building to noun building. (See verbing).
Normalization (renormalization): The mathematical operation, substitution of an integer unit 1 as symbol for a formula to permit calculating say two dimensions (spatial and temporal dimensions) into a single quantity value. For instance, lightyears combining light quantity, speed quantity and distance quantity, which completely mixes up at least three distinct categories! Also, using -∞ as an operator to cancel +∞, or alternately, arbitrarily manually inserting a cut-off specific cardinal quantity number into your equations of wave functions to stop the mathematical progression diverging to infinity. Treating infinity this way is irrational because it uses infinity as a cardinal number when in fact infinity is a concept, not any cardinal or ordinal number. It is logically, rationally, unlawful to use infinity as an operator or a solution in any equation of function. It is equivalent to multiplying by cows, or marbles. Concepts are never mathematical operators. (See black hole; singularity).
Nothing: Does not refer to anything that could possibly or actually exist. The only coherent meaning of the term nothing, is as a synonym for “does not exist.”
not, not: The double negative logical distinction which can be connoted to mean not only. When describing ineffable objects, it is commonly most accurate to state that the object is not, not something, rather than what it specifically is. For example, in my experience epiphanies are not intrinsic to ego consciousness, but not, not intrinsic to ego consciousness, not something ego consciousness does, but not, not something ego consciousness does. (See tetralemma logic).
Now: Perpetual reconfiguration of everything everywhere all at once. There is no time intrinsic to now. Time is sequential, now is perpetual. Now is necessary for time to exist, but time is not necessary for now to exist.
Now gestalt image: Superconsciousness genesis creates the meta-information first information matrix, then encodes (embeds) the totality of that information into a single gestalt image of our whole physical universe, like the single image of the hard drive of a computer inclusive of all the information on the hard drive. Enself, collective ego consciousness decodes now by looking at and bestowing meaning upon it.
Noumenal; noumenon (singular); noumena (plural): An object or event assumed as a fact (exist plus true), but known with thought, intuition, inference, deduction and abstraction, independent of perception by the senses. Not empirically observed, for example, a priori is before physical and before empirical observation, therefore is noumenal. (See phenomenal).
Nucleus: (See atom).
O
Objective: Exists independent of any ego consciousness being aware it exists, independent of ego consciousness. That which is objective is confirmed by empirical observation and application of the scientific method including mathematical abstraction. It is ironic that physicists deny consciousness exists, because it is only ego consciousness that can observe anything, or apply the scientific method, or apply mathematics, and in fact it was ego consciousness that invented the scientific method and all systems of mathematics. There is no objective without consciousness to do it. Nevertheless, physicists claim that only objective exists, only physical exists, that particles are everything, according to doctrine of physicalism and physical closure. (See consciousness, subjective, doctrine of physicalism, physical closure, infinite regress and reification).
Observation: Includes, but is not limited to looking with human consciousness. Looking with human consciousness is intentional observation. Observation also includes automatic (not-intentional) operation of all natural laws (e.g., evolution) and all laws of physics, because those laws of physics govern all automatic generic [observations/interactions/transactions/relations], all of which are known to be dynamically involved in every instance of physical causality. Proximity and touching physically causes physical entanglement of two or more objects. Euclidean empty zero points touch everywhere, therefore, facilitate (e.g., permit) entanglement of virtually everything with something else that is in proximity or touching, and by inference, since everything is connected in the wholeness of our physical universe, it is coherent to suggest that entanglement is an almost universal state condition for every physical object that does exist. The total set of Euclidean empty zero points is defined in this manuscript to occupy everywhere at once, inside the space boundary of our whole physical universe object. There are five universal mediums and two existence domains that are well described as occupying the total set of Euclidean empty zero points, therefore it is coherent to suggest they all exist inside each other, and are holographically, Möbius entangled, fractal self-similar and share the same fine-structure constant. Hence the wholeness structure is well described by universal duality, entanglement, superposition and uncertainty. Everywhere is local; if there is no distance to travel, it takes no time to get there, inside wholeness (= one unitary object = our whole physical universe) = instantaneous exchange of information = not so spooky action at a distance, faster than speed of light = superluminal). Euclidean empty zero points is a immaterial mathematical abstraction meta-path between eternal, consciousness and physical, as well as all kinds of causality, certainly including both physical and immaterial causality.
Occupy: Three kinds of occupy: 1) constituents, 2) populate and 3) pass through.
Constituent-occupy: Constituents are what an object is intrinsically made from if the object has an internal structure. All composite objects are made from internal constituents. Quantum elementary particles are simple, they have no internal structure, no constituent parts.
Populate occupy: The spatial location of one object is inside another object, for example, planets occupy the emptiness of space, or marbles are inside a bag. Permits identification of ultimately simultaneous objects, for instance, five universal mediums, mediums that exist inside each other by virtue of occupying the total finite set of all possible Euclidean empty zero points, but one is not a constituent of the other; rather, they remain distinct, each defined by its unique identity conditions.
Pass-through occupy: One object passing through another object, temporarily occupies the object it is passing through, until they pass out of the object they temporarily occupy, for example visible light electromagnetic radiation passes through water, or the emptiness of space.
Omni: A predicate with reference only to eternal for any property, function or relation. Omni always refers to a difference of kind, never a difference of degree, and omni turns every statement into a truth-maker statement.
Omni-Property: Any property attributed, by abstraction, to eternal Aseity (= God). Omni-properties are necessarily differences of kind (category distinct), from the property with the same name that describes anything in the physical universe. For instance, omni-fundamental is not the same category as fundamental, omnipotent is not the same category as powerful, etc.
Ontology is knowledge of what does exist, which includes possible existence and actual existence. Physical is an ontological category that possibly and actually exists. Immaterial is an ontological category that possibly and actually exists, but it is not physical. Tautological certainty is ontological because tautology necessarily correctly describes actual existence.
Ontological limit: A physical thing cannot create itself.
Ontological test: Real actual existence (physical material, physical non-material and/or immaterial).
Ontological Argument (proof): The rational argument that God (eternal) exists without beginning.
Orange rectangles: My personal dynamic gestalt image to visualize now in deep meditative states. I did not invent the image; it appeared during a profound illumination of ego consciousness during a session experimenting with LSD. With repeated exposures in deep meditative states without LSD, it became clear that I was inventing a way to work intentionally with now, to create-manifest physical reality by bestowing meaning upon now. You must invent your image(s) or acknowledge them if they suddenly appear to you on your inner screen (seeing in the dark), with which you can visualize ultimately simultaneous as a generic state condition, plus images for ultimately simultaneous emptiness, enself, superconsciousness and now. You must invent your image(s) to visualize those objects, certainly including yourself (ego consciousness; enself collective ego consciousness), existing inside each other closer than touching. (See neuroplasticity).
Ordinal numbers: Numbers to denote position, rank, or order of progression, for example first, second, third, etc. (See cardinal numbers).
Origin: First instance of some unique kind = category of thing is caused to begin.
Owner’s manual for a human being: You are reading it!
P
Panpsychism: Three versions: 1) most commonly defined to mean consciousness is a constituent of everything, what everything is made from (I reject), 2) consciousness ontologically exists ultimately simultaneously, everywhere (all possible locations in time and space), and that consciousness is simultaneously in everything, that consciousness occupies every object that physically exists (I agree), and 3) everything that exists is conscious, that consciousness is a property and/or function of every physical object (I reject).
Particle: There is no consensus definition of physical particle, notwithstanding that it is the most fundamental concept in the science of physics. Informally, it is common to describe particles as objects having a set of physical properties including matter mass (extension in emptiness of space and location in emptiness of space), momentum mass (motion in emptiness of space caused by application of extrinsic energy), spin (intrinsic angular momentum, motion not caused by any extrinsic energy), charge, etc. In fact, all quantum elementary particles exist as mathematical probability abstractions before they have interactions with other objects, which means while they are hosted inside near-existence domain they are possible-to-exist objects, not actual physical objects, yet. It is only after elementary particles interact with something else that they take on any of the actual physical properties inside actual existence domain. Even in actual existence domain, physical particles cannot be specifically defined. Because of uncertainty it is impossible to accurately specifically define both the location and momentum of any quantum elementary particle in actual existence domain.
Particle-wave duality: Quantum elementary particles can behave as either particle or wave when they interact with other objects.
Path from eternal to physical: Eternal genesis-emanate → superconsciousness genesis-create → ego consciousness create-manifest; eternal → consciousness → information → physical. Wholeness is the [global/local] path between eternal, consciousness, information, and physical. I believe The Secret Cosmos provides the first rationally coherent full path from eternal to physical.
Path problem: How can we explain (consistent and complete) a path between immaterial and physical categories and instances of categories, for example from consciousness to physical or from physical to consciousness?
Pauli exclusion principle: All fermions, for example, quarks and electrons, are strictly limited to occupy one actual location at a time, and it is also forbidden for two fermions to occupy the same location at the same time. Pauli exclusion principle describes an identity condition of local.
Penultimate: If levels exist, penultimate is the second highest level. For example, ego consciousness is penultimate substance. (See ultimate; substance).
Perpetual: Continuous without any interruption, until the whole process ends. Perpetual is not intrinsically sequential. Sequence is permitted within perpetual, the same way dualism is permitted within monism or parts are permitted within wholeness. (See eternal).
Perpetual reconfiguration: Now is the perpetually reconfigured gestalt image of our whole universe. Now is ceaselessly instantaneously refreshed, without interruption. Perpetual reconfiguration of now cannot be stopped, but it will end when superconsciousness stops live-streaming now.
Phenomenal; Phenomenon (singular); Phenomena (plural): Derived from or emergent from something else; projected, temporary, ephemeral; appearance, persistence and duration without substance. Everything physical (object or event) in our universe is phenomenal. Known through the senses rather than thought, intuition, inference, deduction and abstraction. (See noumenal).
Epiphenomenon: Accidental or accessory event or process, for example according to doctrine of physicalism, ego consciousness is just something a physical brain is doing. The immaterial category is denied therefore ego consciousness is assumed to be physical.
Photon: Quantum elementary boson “force carrying particle” in the Standard Modelpp. Photons are the carrier for force electromagnetism. Photons are confirmed to be massless, hence they are not fermion matter particles, but that is confusing and contradictory, since there are two categories of mass, matter mass and motion mass. It is correct to say photons do not have matter mass, but they certainly have motion mass, in fact, it is coherent to say they are pure motion mass particles. However, photons can behave as either particle or wave because of wave-particle duality. Photons transform between particles and waves as they interact with other objects. (See force carrier particle).
Physical Causality: (See causality).
Physicalism: The reigning metaphysical paradigm in the science of physics is the monistic doctrine of physicalism, for instance particles are everything. Subcategories of the physical category include: [reductionism + atomism + materialism + mechanistic + determinism + physical causality + positivism + fatalism].
Physical Closure: Physical closure is physical monism, including a set of false metaphysical assumptions that everything is physical, physical is the only category, immaterial category does not exist (consciousness is physical), “particles are everything” or “everything is interactions between particles,” only physical can explain physical, and that physical creates itself. The whole physical universe created itself out of nothing. The doctrine of physicalism with metaphysical assumption of physical closure, does not include any path from eternal to physical; rather, eternal and consciousness are both denied.
“Real physicalism”: Philosopher Gaylan Strawson’s term for his peculiar version of physicalism, presumably implying all the other versions are not real (= false?). The primary difference between “real physicalism” and all the others, is how he treats consciousness, but his difference is not a difference that makes a difference. He still surrenders to the false metaphysical assumption physical closure, just like all the other versions. Strawson has no theory of consciousness, and he denies freewill. Strawson suffers both fatal logical errors, infinite regress and reification.
Physics (science): The science of physics is strictly ontologically limited to describing that which is finite and physical. Science of physics and mathematics of physics cannot explain the immaterial category or instances of the immaterial category.
Classical physics: Includes gravity, laws of motion, laws of thermodynamics and classical mechanics (theories almost entirely created by Isaac Newton; pre-1900 CE).
Relativity physics: Includes special relativity (1905), and general relativity (1915); equivalence of matter mass and energy mass (= special relativity), conservation of total mass (= special relativity), unification of spacetime (= space + time; general relativity), universal speed-of-light limit (= special relativity), major advances beyond Newton in theory of gravity (theories almost entirely created by Albert Einstein).
Quantum-physics; particle physics; quantum mechanics: After ≃ 1900, includes particle-wave duality, entanglement, superposition, uncertainty, interference patterns, coherence and decoherence. Particle-physics includes the SMparticle physics (with fundamental elementary fermions and bosons), three of the four classical forces (interactions), including electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear, however the quantum theory of gravity remains hypothetical.
Consciousness interpretation of quantum mechanics (CQM): My original theory of quantum mechanics proposing that immaterial ego consciousness not only drives the physical bus (for example commands the automatic laws of physics to causally influence physical objects and events), but also that superconsciousness creates and sustains (live streams now) the whole physical universe. By introducing concepts like now, ultimately simultaneous and near-existence domain, I resolve most of the mystery that continues to permeate the five currently popular theories of quantum mechanics, including for example, the confusions about quantum wave-particle duality, quantum uncertainty, quantum entanglement, and quantum superposition.
Relational interpretation of quantum mechanics (RQM): Carlo Rovelli’s description of quantum reality, for instance the claim that every object exists in a web of interactions and relations with the rest of actual reality. No object can be correctly understood if it is isolated from that total set of interactions and relations. This is intended to be more fundamental than atomism in the doctrine of physicalism. The whole physical universe exists as an ecology of wholeness, a holon unity of parts inside wholes and wholes inside wholes. (See process philosophy).
Placeholder: Zero is not any cardinal or ordinal number, rather it is the placeholder where negative quantity turns into positive quantity, but zero has no quantity in it. (See zero).
Planck unit of measurement: The quantum unit of measurement, the smallest possible quantity of anything that can be mathematically measured. Moving toward infinitesimal means approaching but never reaching zero quantity, because smaller than the Planck unit of, length, speed, time, or any other quantity has no meaning in physics. Infinitesimal cannot continue without bound because the reduction always ends at the Planck unit of measurement. The Planck quantity scale range for the limit of measurement is 10-33 – 10-46. For instance, Planck’s constant ℏ = h/2π is a tiny number with units of energy (Joules = Js) multiplied by units of time (seconds). It is 60626 x 10-34 Js. This is scientific notation for 0.0000000000000000000000000000000006626 Js. There are 33 zeros between the point and the first six. This is a tiny number. Imagine the thickness of a human hair, that number would still be about ten billion-billion-billion (three billions is correct!) times larger than Planck’s constant.
Plato’s Forms and forms: From the dialogues of Plato: Phaedo. Form (with upper case F) is Plato’s term for the essence of any object, which is that which remains conserved (does not change) regardless of perpetual changes in specific instances of some kind or category of a thing, which exist as forms (with lower case f). For instance, “human being” is a conserved Form and each unique person that is ephemeral (exists with a short lifespan and is perpetually reconfigured), is a form of the human being Form. Plato’s Forms are synonymous with type, category, set, kind, etc. which entail uncountable instantiations of members of that type. All instances (members, elements, examples) are forms entailed by Forms.
Eternal is the only omni-Form and the only Form capable of genesis-emanate.
Superconsciousness is the ultimate Form, and the only Form capable of genesis-create.
Collective ego consciousness coupled with (docked to) universal witness consciousness commons is the penultimate Form, and the only Form capable of create-manifest.
PNC = principle of non-contradiction: Aristotle’s most fundamental logical axiom, logical contradiction is absolutely denied in first-order logic. The two most common fatal logical errors include infinite regress and reification. (See infinite regress and reification).
Positivism: The false metaphysical assumption that only mathematics can correctly, consistently and completely describe actual physical reality. Truth value of knowledge is determined with reference to axiomized mathematics, which must be congruent with empirical observation of physical objects, which means only a posteriori facts qualify as genuine knowledge. Other methods of gaining knowledge, including natural a priori axioms, epiphanies, intuition, introspection, faith, etc., are considered meaningless. Positivism is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Potentiality: Aristotle’s fundamental category of existence, possible existence, not actually physical, yet. My near-existence domain hosts all possible-to-exist objects. Near-existence domain is not acknowledged by physicists.
Prehension: Alfred North Whitehead’s term meaning “concrete facts of relatedness.” According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary “the act of taking hold, seizing, or grasping; mental understanding, comprehension; apprehension by the senses.” (See process philosophy).
Probability: A system of mathematics to estimate the likelihood that an object will begin to exist, or an event will occur. For any event the total probability is the sum of the probability the event will occur plus the probability the event will not occur, therefore total probability always equals exactly 1 = 100%, which means it is certain that the event will either occur or it will not occur, but it always remains uncertain whether the event will occur or not. There is always a non-zero probability an event will not occur because no one can predict the future with certainty. (See random).
Probability cut-off: Probability is never exact for any instance of observation, nevertheless that is the common assumption. With reference to random, the probability of 50% is a cut-off, assumed correct for every observation, otherwise the result is infinite regress. For instance, it would be unusual to make a small number of observations and observe equal numbers of heads and tails. Nevertheless, mathematicians are certain that the probability of random outcomes (with two possible outcomes) is 50%, exactly, only, and always, regardless of how many flips of a coin, have already occurred or what those flips were. So, using 50% as the cutoff in equations and functions stops fatal logical infinite regress; for example, you don’t need to do an infinite number of calculations to get a reliable solution. You manually insert 50% into your equations or functions and know with confidence the solution will be reliably correct.
Process philosophy: Alfred North Whitehead defines relationships between objects as relations (= process) of objects dynamically becoming, as being fundamental, which literally means constituents of our whole physical universe; what our universe is made from, what our universe actually is. No object can be correctly understood if it is isolated from that total set of interactions and relations. The whole physical universe exists as an ecology of wholeness, a holon unity of parts inside wholes and wholes inside wholes. Rovelli defines relations the same way, but Rovelli hedges about whether wholeness is fundamental. (See relational interpretation of quantum mechanics).
Property: Attribute, quality, or characteristic of something. For example, properties of a photon include that it is a quantum elementary particle with zero mass, zero charge and spin 1.
Purpose: What is the use of a hotel without guests?
Q
Qualia: Instances of subjective conscious experience, for instance what it feels like to taste fudge.
Quantization: Mathematical calculation of quantity values of relevant variables. All mathematics is quantization abstraction.
Quantum (singular) or quanta (plural): The tiniest possible instance of any physical object. Examples include all quantum elementary particles including electrons, quarks, photons, etc.
Quantum entanglement: Two quantum elementary particles act as a holon, a single system, a single whole object. For example, elementary particles can exchange information at any possible physical distance of separation because they operate as a holon. Doing that violates Einstein’s identity conditions of locality and realism. (See Bell’s inequality theorem).
Quantum mechanics is a fundamental theory in the Standard Modelpp that describes the behavior of nature at and below the scale (size) of atoms.
Quantum superposition: A pair of logically contradictory objects that literally deny each other, exist in coherence inside near-existence domain where logical contradiction is permitted. Elements of the pair exist as mathematical abstraction probabilities of possible-to-exist, but are not actually physical, yet. For example, two quantum elementary particles exist as a superposition holon unity of wholeness, [wave/0/particle], or [spin up ½/0/spin down ½] before any generic [interactions/relations/observations]. After any generic [interactions/relations/observations] the coherence is resolved by decoherence to only one element of the logically contradictory pair manifests as an actual physical object inside actual existence domain. Zero is a placeholder in a superposition, denoting the objects remain distinct objects.
Quantum wave-particle duality: Quantum elementary particles can manifest as either wave or particle when they have interactions.
Quarks: Fermion quantum elementary particles in the Standard Modelpp that are, together with leptons, constituents of atoms which are constituents of complex objects large enough to see and hard enough to bump into. There are six kinds of quarks, including up, charm, top, down, strange and bottom. Fermions obey the Pauli exclusion principle, which states that no two fermions can occupy the same location in emptiness at the same time. Quarks have spin ½. Quarks combine with other quarks to form complex protons and neutrons inside the atom’s nucleus. (See atom; quarkism).
R
Random within chaos is when there are two or more possible outcomes with an equal chance of occurring. Measuring the chance-of-occurrence quantitatively is what probability mathematics is used for. If you observe objects with equal probability of occurrence, say flip of a coin could be either a head or a tail, with a relatively long-time duration, so you witness many repetitions, the pattern that emerges is random, which means there is a 50% chance of head and 50% chance of a tail for each flip of the coin. (See probability mathematics).
Rational (rationality): Cognitive reasoning applying inference and deduction to arrive at justified knowledge free from logical contradiction. (See inference, deduction and justified knowledge).
Real: Something, not nothing. Something exists and the information we have about it is true. Unreal either does not exist and/or the information we have about it is false. There are many categories of real, including physical real, immaterial real, abstraction real, imaginary real, and real illusion. Immaterial is as real as physical, however, physical is ontologically-exist real, while immaterial is epistemologically-information-true real, and both have equal authority of realness. Real = exist + true. (See illusion; real illusion).
Realism: Non-empirical means cannot be seen with physical eyes. However, once understood, it cannot contradict empirical, e.g., that which can be observed with physical eyes. It is incorrect to claim only empirical can be trusted, or only empirical can be known, or only empirical is true, or that our knowledge is limited only to that which is empirical. Rather, it simply means we can believe what is empirically, repeatedly, observable. Feynman, Einstein and Bell are realists. Objective state condition exists independent of any conscious awareness, or attempt to observe or measure, for instance, pen under your bed whether or not you know it is there, and stove on whether you remember or not. Objective concrete physical reality is what it is, independent of human knowledge of it. Local means no “spooky action at a distance.” Unitary means probability for two entangled variables adds to one (= 100%); e.g., on or off, one or the other is certain to occur. Physical causality (the only kind acknowledged in physics science), means physical cause always precedes physical effect. Everything physical has a cause. Every physical cause has a physical cause. There is a physical path connection between cause and effect. There is a physical mechanism to explain the exchange of information between cause and effect. Physical particles, fields and forces exchange information slower than the speed of light. Causal closure means consciousness is not necessary, but stronger than that, it is not even possible that consciousness can have any causal influence on anything physical.
Reductionism: The false metaphysical assumption that all whole complex objects made from constituent parts, can be fully explained as a simple sum-of-parts. Reductionism cannot explain macro-large physical wholeness. In philosophy and science, reductionism means reducing the complexity of an object, event or problem to be solved, to make it easier to define, explain, and understand. Reduction commonly involves breaking some complex object, event or problem into sequential steps, or parts within a whole object, then explaining each step or each part separately. The final step is to put all the pieces back together into one whole explanation. Reductionism is one of eight fundamental principles of the doctrine of physicalism in the science of physics, which claims physical is necessary and sufficient to explain physical.
Reification: Fatal logical category contradiction error in first-order logic. Each category has unique identity conditions. It is a fatal logical category error to cross categories, for example to claim that an object has properties, functions and relations that are impossible for that category or instances of that category to have. It is common for physicists (physicalists who embrace physical closure) to claim physical is conscious, and that consciousness is just something a physical brain is doing. Eating the menu instead of the meal. Believing the word cat can scratch you. (See consciousness, physicalism, and physical closure).
S
Salvation: First step is, undertake your spiritual quest to find your gift; finding your gift is finding your true self. The second step is, share your gift. Spiritual axiom: the gift must move. Spiritual law: you are forbidden to beg for salvation.
Samadhi: (See contemplation, enlightenment, illumination).
Scarcity: The unnatural physical state condition that is created-manifested (man-made) when hoarding occurs. (See abundance; hoarding).
Scattering: Particle-particle collisions between molecules, atoms, electrons, photons and other particles. 1) Making a collection of incoming particles collide. 2) Allowing the incoming particles to interact. These interactions may change the types of particles present, for instance an electron and a positron annihilate and produce two photons. 3) Measuring the resulting outgoing particles. Imagine the first shot starting a game of pool, the cue ball is propelled forcefully into the triangle of 15 pool balls which then collide with each other as the triangle shape is scattered.
Scattering amplitude: The probability for different outcomes in scattering experiments, mathematically described with the Scattering Matrix mathematics.
Scattering mathematics: physics scattering experiments involve infinitesimal Planck scales, 10-33 – 10-46, approaching but never reaching zero, and vast distances, approaching but never reaching infinite, out to the edge boundary of our whole physical universe. In Particle Physics the quantum interaction and scattering of fundamental particles is described by the Scattering Matrix (S-matrix).
Scattering matrix: The S-matrix or scattering matrix relates the initial state and the final state of a physical system undergoing a scattering process.
Schizophrenia: Imagination confused with perception, literal confused with metaphor, internal confused with external, and illusion confused with actually physically real.
Schrödinger equation: A mathematical formula used to calculate exact future values for all the variables described in the Lagrangian wave function set of rules, for instance numerical quantity values for particle mass, charge, spin, etc. Particle properties like mass, charge and spin are examples of “state” and “initial conditions.” There is a set (not just one) of Schrödinger equations to calculate numerical quantity values for various specific details of physical reality. Physicists claim Schrödinger’s equations can reliably predict future outcomes from a knowable set of initial conditions at the instant the universe began to exist. That is unambiguously impossible, even in principle, even for the most fundamental quantum physical object, let alone for an object the size of a galaxy or a whole universe, or an object as complex as a physical brain. (See Lagrangian wave function).
Scientific method is a strict protocol of steps used to determine if something exists and that the information we have about it is true. The steps include empirical observation which means looking at some physical object with ego consciousness attention, physical eyes, and could include various technological tools of observation, for instance a microscope, interferometer, telescope, etc. A hypothesis is formulated based upon information gathered with empirical observations. The hypothesis is commonly expressed including mathematical equations and functions, based upon measurements recorded during the empirical observations. Experiments are conducted to test the hypothesis for truth value. Data from the experiments is analyzed to determine correctness of the information or to deny it. Logical contradiction is strictly forbidden in the hypothesis and conclusions based upon analysis of the data.
Seeing in the dark: Ego consciousness generates or receives injections of inner visions that are illuminated with internally generated light, that is not electromagnetic visible light radiation reflected to physical eyes. For example, a gestalt image epiphany is perceived in the same way you see an external landscape with physical eyes, but physical eyes are not involved. Inner visualization is a known common power of ego consciousness. Enlightenment = to light within.
Self: A private, personal, unique identity; a sentient human being, alive, with powers of attention, intention, choice and action, power of create-manifest intentional immaterial causality, five senses (see, hear, smell, taste and touch self-awareness), affection (emotion and feelings self-awareness), cognition (thinking, abstraction, self-awareness).
Yourself: You acknowledge your identity. You know that you know that you actually do exist.
Physical self: Physical body/brain/central nervous system live human being. The boundary of a physical self is a bag of skin. Meta boundaries of the physical self are birth and death.
Ego Consciousness self: Immaterial private, personal, unique awareness of awareness; awareness of I AM. Life begins when ego consciousness docks to a physical body/brain/central nervous system. Death occurs when ego consciousness permanently leaves the physical organism.
Mind self: Immaterial ego consciousness docks to a physical body/brain/central nervous system live human being. A mind expires when ego consciousness permanently leaves the physical organism.
Enself: Collective ego consciousness which is a holon unity of wholeness.
Unself: Self that is real but remains unknown to the ego consciousness; unself remains unconscious. Unself is to being, what unconscious is to consciousness. (See enself).
Self-reference: Meta always implies self-reference, knowing that you know, awareness of awareness, thinking about thinking, information about information, etc. Meta-data refers to categories of data, which include multiple instances of kinds of data sets. Meta-rules are rules for rules. Symmetries are meta-rules for rules, for instance transformations between matter mass and energy mass obey symmetry, which means the transformations are two-way (reversible). Proofs are examples of meta-mathematics. Proofs are considered the ultimate evidence for the correctness of all kinds of mathematics. Proofs are mathematics of mathematics. (See meta).
Senses (sensation): There are five senses of sentient ego consciousness including see, hear, taste, smell and touch.
Sentience: Life with consciousness; (cognition + affective + sensual). Human beings are sentient: 1) they are alive, 2) they exist with physical body/brain/nervous system, ego consciousness docked to that physical organism (which is a mind), 3) they have substantial (not illusion) power of freewill intentional immaterial create-manifest causality, 4) freewill powers of attention, intention, choice and action, plus power of cognition (thinking, abstraction, bestowing meaning upon everything physical), power of affective (feelings and emotions), and five senses (see, hear, smell, taste and touch). Artificial intelligence (AI) is not sentient. Sentience entails natural a priori axioms, sound logical inference and deduction, and mathematical axioms.
Sequential: Distinct steps, with each step following the previous one in sequence, e.g., step 1, step 2, step 3, etc. For example, a toaster is assembled from parts in sequential steps, and the toaster begins to exist, exactly and only at the moment of completion, at which point it is possible to turn the toaster on and make toast. Each moment of time follows in sequence from the previous moment in time. As any object moves along some path, each location passed through is after the previous location and before the next location.
Set: A collection of objects sharing at least one category defining identity condition, not shared with any other category. Synonymous with category and kind. (See category; kind).
Singularity: If you increase elementary particle speed without limit in any finite space, the density of mass generated by gravity forces a black hole into existence, just before reaching the actual speed of light limit. If you force your measure to a size approaching but never reaching zero, at the lower bound of the Planck scale, say 10-43 – 10-46 range, the density of mass generated by gravity forces a black hole into existence, which necessarily generates an infinity error in the mathematics. At a singularity laws of physics cease to operate.
Simple: Exists without internal structure; no constituent parts. Fundamental, elementary, not reducible to anything else.
Divine simplicity: Aseity exists without internal structure; aseity is simple. God is simple. (See aseity).
Simultaneous: Objects and events exist or occur at either the same time and/or the same location.
Weak simultaneous: Objects exist at the same time, but not in the same location.
Strong simultaneous: Objects exist in the same location at the same time.
Penultimately simultaneous: Objects occupy the same limited set of Euclidean empty zero points, inside each other closer than touching.
Ultimately simultaneous: Objects occupy the total set of Euclidean empty zero points, everywhere all at once, inside each other closer than touching. Ultimately simultaneous is not a state condition acknowledged by physicists. The whole physical universe is ultimately simultaneous. The total set of Euclidean empty zero points is simultaneously global, and global necessarily includes everywhere local. Therefore, is it coherent to suggest everywhere is local.
Ultimately simultaneous Dimension: There are five ultimately simultaneous dimensions that exist everywhere all at once including: 1) zeroth dimension which is the total set of Euclidean empty zero points, plus three spatial dimensions 2) length, 3) width, 4) height, and 5) immaterial dimension superconsciousness. Because ultimately simultaneous means inside each other closer than touching, it is coherent to state that ultimately simultaneous dimensions, domains and mediums host each other. Dimensions are hosted inside domains inside mediums. I do not include time as a dimension. (See time and spacetime).
Ultimately Simultaneous Domain: There are two ultimately simultaneous existence domains; near-existence domain and actual existence domain. Domains are spatial locations for all other objects that occupy the whole physical universe. Domains are hosted inside dimensions inside mediums.
Ultimately Simultaneous Medium: In my cosmology, medium is an object through which information propagates and is exchanged between other objects that are hosted inside the medium. Mediums are hosted inside domains inside dimensions. There are five ultimately simultaneous universal mediums: superconsciousness, meta-information matrix, now, enself, and emptiness. (See medium - physics).
Simple: Irreducible, indivisible and complete; everything whole is simple, some fundamental tiny and some complex large; some physical and some immaterial; truth is simple; simple is beautiful.
Singularity (physics): Any instance in which laws of physics are suspended, for example beyond the horizon of a black hole is a singularity.
Singularity (consciousness): Consciousness can make jumps between categories, without logical contradiction. Those jumps are singularities of consciousness. It is certain that if consciousness creates logical levels (it does), consciousness can jump between them. There are 4 states of enlightenment which are 4 personal illuminations and 4 singularities in consciousness. 1) Ego consciousness is ultimately simultaneous with enself collective ego consciousness. 2) Enself is ultimately simultaneous with witness consciousness. 3) Witness consciousness is ultimately simultaneous with superconsciousness. 4) Superconsciousness is ultimately simultaneous with eternal. These singularities are sentient feeling experiences, not abstract descriptions. The words I use to describe them are abstractions.
Solipsism: The metaphysical assumption that a person can only be certain that their own mind exists. They cannot know for sure if there is more than one mind, or if anything other than one mind exists. The mind is the self and nothing beyond the self exists. Solipsism is close to idealism, which is the metaphysical assumption that everything is consciousness. I acknowledge the coherence of these views, but do not agree with either. My theory of consciousness is neither solipsism nor idealism. For instance, the mind is not the only thing that exists, even for one person. More importantly, it is possible to know with certainty about physical reality extrinsic to yourself. Dualism is necessary. I soundly infer that everything physical is created-manifested by and emerges from immaterial consciousness. The path is from eternal to consciousness to information to physical.
Something from nothing: (See creatio ex nihilo).
Space: The term used by physicists to name the total volume inside the spherical surface boundary of our whole physical universe. I call that emptiness. There is no consensus that our universe even has a boundary. If it does, that boundary is not and never will be empirically observable because electromagnetic radiation (say visible light) has not had time to reach us and because the universe is currently known to be expanding faster than speed of light, light from the surface boundary will never reach us, unless the expansion reverses to contraction.
Space boundary: My redefinition of space is the spherical surface boundary of our whole finite physical universe, which encloses a humongous bag of emptiness completely filling the volume enclosed within the boundary.
Space hole: Space is a hole hosted inside eternal aseity. All the contents of the whole universe are hosted inside that hole.
Spacetime: Spacetime is the holon unity of wholeness of the space dimension and the time dimension according to relativity physics created by Albert Einstein. It is coherent to treat time as a dimension, though that is not logically accurate (see time). Einstein assumes that spacetime is the fundamental fabric of the whole physical universe (not reducible to anything else, no constituent parts, no internal structure, simple), populated by all physical particles and relations between physical particles, including the four natural forces, electromagnetism, strong nuclear, weak nuclear and gravity. A debate is currently raging about whether spacetime is or is not actually fundamental in physics, for instance is spacetime emergent from something more fundamental? In my cosmology time is not actually a dimension, rather it is quantization of spatial location, for instance it is necessary there is a coordinate system to specify locations in emptiness, and that requires volume location and time when you are observing that location. It is necessary to quantize three logical levels in one equation to create-manifest a cosmic spacetime coordinate system, including location (some volume of emptiness), time duration, and the speed of light.
Speed of light: The maximum speed in the physical universe. Electromagnetic visible light radiation can travel 299,792,458 meters per second, 186,282 miles per second, and 3.00 x 10^8 m/s (scientific notation). No matter mass physical object can travel at the speed of light. The speed of light limit is an identity condition of Einstein’s locality. However, John Bell has mathematically demonstrated that quantum elementary entanglement and superposition permit superluminal (instantaneous) faster than speed of light exchange of information between two elementary entangled particles in superposition, at any distance of physical separation with no known mechanism or path to explain it. (See Bell’s inequality theorem).
Spin: Intrinsic angular momentum (motion not caused by any extrinsic energy), of all elementary particles in the Standard Modelpp except the Higgs boson, which has zero spin. Apparently, spin is with reference to the elementary particle itself, but exists only as a mathematical abstraction property, not any empirically observable path of motion. Elementary particle spin is not to be confused with the kind of motion in which a planet spins on its own axis. Elementary particle spin is the property of fermions that activate the Pauli exclusion principle, which states that no fermion matter mass particles, say two electrons can occupy the same physical location at the same time.
“spooky action at a distance”: Albert Einstein’s phrase for non-local exchange of information which is empirically observed between two entangled quantum elementary particles independent of any possible physical distance of separation. Such exchanges are “spooky” because they are superluminal faster than the speed of light. In fact, they are instantaneous because the entangled pair of elementary particles behave as a holon unity of wholeness and an identity condition of all kinds of wholeness is that everywhere within wholeness is local. Therefore, no distance to travel takes no time to get there, and there is no actual violation of Einstein’s locality.
Standard Model of Particle Physics (SMpp) is the mathematical model of particle physics with a set of theories describing all 17 currently known quantum elementary particles, plus four natural forces (electromagnetism, strong nuclear, weak nuclear and gravity), plus five currently popular theories of quantum mechanics. I introduce an original consciousness interpretation of quantum mechanics (CQM). (See quantum mechanics).
State condition: What any possible-to-exist object or any actually-does-exist object is, commonly including a set of properties, functions and relations, without which any object could not be what it is. State conditions can be shared between objects.
Category state condition: What any possible-to-exist object or any actually-does-exist object is, commonly including a set of properties, functions and relations, without which any object could not be what it is, but category state conditions are strictly limited to a single category and all instances of that category. Category state conditions are not shared with any other category or instances of any other category.
Structure of physical wholeness: In the context of our whole physical universe, the meta-information structure of physical wholeness includes: 1) Möbius loop ≃ 100% entangled logical levels, 2) holographic ≃ 100% information redundancy, 3) fine-structure constant, 4) fractal self-similarity, 5) holes plus emptiness, 6) total set of Euclidean empty zero points. All these six foundations of the physical wholeness structure of our universe are encoded in now.
Stupid: Incapable of learning in some specific learning context. Humans with IQs between 0 and 25 are classified as idiots; IQs between 26 and 50 are classified as imbeciles; and those who have an IQs between 51 and 70 are classified as morons. There are many different kinds of intelligence that are not measured with standard IQ testing, for example emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence.
Subjective: Contents of immaterial ego consciousness, for example, cognition, mental process, thinking, feelings, emotions, and sensation (see, hear, taste, smell and touch). Ego consciousness freewill powers of attention, intention, making choices and taking actions. Ego consciousness looking at and bestowing meaning upon now. Ego consciousness immaterial causality, create-manifest. Vision, imagination, love, kindness, generosity, compassion, in short, subjective is what matters most to a human being. Physicists literally deny the immaterial category, consciousness, and freewill, therefore deny subjective even exists! According to physicists everything is deterministic (pre-determined). (See determinism).
Substance: Power of immaterial intentional causality is substance. Eternal is omni-substance because it has power of immaterial intentional genesis-emanate causality. Superconsciousness is ultimate substance because it has power of immaterial intentional genesis-create causality. Ego consciousness is penultimate substance because it has power of immaterial intentional create-manifest causality. Automatic physical causality is not substance. Nothing physical is substantial. Everything physical is ephemeral appearance only without substance. Substance is necessarily limited to that which causes all appearances to exist. (See causality; appearance; illusion).
Superconsciousness: Hypostasis, the first object that exists with beginning, the first-first. Eternal genesis-emanates superconsciousness. Superconsciousness is immaterial (non-physical). Superconsciousness is the source of awareness of awareness. Superconsciousness is the cause of everything physical. Superconsciousness genesis-creates everything else that exists with beginning.
Superposition: (See quantum superposition).
Symmetrical (generic): Harmonious and beautiful proportion and balance in objects. Two-way reversible transformations between two distinct objects, for example perpetual transformations between particle and wave forms of every quantum elementary particle. An object and its mirror image are symmetrical.
T
Tantra: Hindu and Buddhist (India, Tibet, China, Japan, etc.) yoga includes Tantra yoga spiritual and physical practices, which entails union of yin (feminine archetype) and yang (masculine archetype). As commonly practiced in the West, Tantra includes sacred sexuality practices, in which the lovers experience a divine union, a state of being, literally inside each other closer than touching. “Whose orgasm was that?”
Tautology: Identity; any-thing is necessarily exactly, only and always itself. X = X, X ≡ X, exactly only and always, in every possible universe. 5 = 5 exactly, only and always. Tautology is certainty. According to Alfred North Whitehead “…every actuality is devoid of a shadow of ambiguity: it is exactly what it is…” (See process philosophy).
Teleology: Relations of purpose; why something exists, what something is for. Purpose (therefore teleology) is necessary epistemological information. Bestowal of meaning by consciousness, for instance describing the purpose of any object, is necessary to determine what any physical object ontologically actually is. Teleology information is rarely, if ever, supplied with application of the scientific method. In fact, the scientific method is literally defined to ignore any reference to purpose, because purpose is information supplied by subjective consciousness, bestowing meaning. However, consciousness, the immaterial category, and eternal are all denied by physicists.
· Eternal has no purpose, rather, eternal exists without beginning.
· The purpose of the whole universe is to support ineffable life.
· The purpose of mass is the existence of physical.
· The purpose of life is the existence of immaterial ineffable being.
· The purpose of superconsciousness is to genesis-create everything that exists with a beginning.
· The purpose of witness consciousness commons is to be agent and bridge between superconsciousness and collective ego consciousness.
· The purpose of ego consciousness is self-awareness = awareness of awareness = sentience = thought + emotion + sensation. Highest purpose of ego consciousness is enlightenment,
Tetralemma logic: Sengzhao’s tetralemma logic states that any proposition X entails four logical possibilities: 1) X is, 2) X is not, 3) X both is and is not, 4) X neither is nor is not. I use the not, not logical distinction to make sense of superpositions, for example, [alive/0/dead] in which Schrödinger’s cat is not alive and not, not alive, not dead and not, not dead. (See not, not).
Theology: Study of spiritual and religious practices and systems of knowledge.
Theory of everything (TOE): A theory to explain, well, everything. The hypothetical force carrier particle, graviton, for the force gravity has not been confirmed, therefore is omitted from the SMpp. The search is on for a unifying theory for quantum mechanics and gravity, a theory of everything (TOE). A theory of everything is a wild stretch of metaphysical fantasy over belief. A theory of everything is literally impossible. On the other hand, an ecology of wholeness is an ecology of everything because wholeness includes everything. Our universe is a whole object.
Thinking: Mental activity, reasoning (rational), commonly applying logical tools of inference and deduction.
Time: A mathematical abstraction description of some arbitrarily chosen physical object or event. The duration of 9192631770 periods of the radiation interval of caesium-133 atoms is called one second, which is the international standard unit of time, or one year corresponds to a single full rotation of Planet Earth around the sun, or a day is one full rotation of Planet Earth on its axis. Time is neither domain, dimension nor medium. Time is not an agent; time has no power of physical or immaterial casualty. Time is a method of accounting for and organizing physical events, for instance to entail a workforce arriving to begin work, how long a baseball game lasts, chronological age of a human being, calendar dates of recorded history, etc. The time in spacetime is a pure mathematical abstraction. The ageing of a human being is not something caused by passage of time, rather passage of time is a mathematical abstraction description of physical ageing. (See now).
Potential time: Clock and calendar time, with the clock not turned on conserved inside near-existence domain.
Real time: Clock and calendar time, atomic clock time, with the clock turned on; actual existence domain.
Time before present = past-now.
Time present = now.
Time after present (not yet) = future-now.
Time Reversal: An imaginary scenario in which the totality of the present physical reality of our whole physical universe is returned to some previous state exactly as it was. It is impossible. Nor is it possible to return to some tiny part of the past while leaving the rest as it is in the present.
Virtual time: Mathematical abstraction of time as 4th dimension; almost time; the time in spacetime, described with imaginary i (complex numbers). The 4th time dimension (according to Relativity physics) permits the three spatial dimensions to move as a unity, all-at-once, and forces move whole fields, all-at-once. But time itself does not move. Each particle has a field, the boundary of which defines the limits of where those particles can move over some duration of spacetime. Each field has a boundary, and forces generated by interactions of particles and fields, as well forces adding mass to particles and fields by the motion, as entire field boundaries move all at once over some duration of spacetime. Particles in motion over distances define fields, fields are the limits that define where particles can move, particles and fields interactions generate forces, and forces move not only particles, but also whole fields move all-at-once over some duration of spacetime. (See space; spacetime).
Top of the food chain: Life lives by consuming (eating) life. Whatever is at the top of the food chain has the option to eat everything lower on the food chain. Generically, you could replace the action eat, with the action control, dominate, or have power over. Higher always commands lower, without exception. The existential threat of apocalypse posed by artificial intelligence (AI) to survival of the human race has been given a probability of approximately 10% it will occur (by those who invented AI).
Topology: External extrinsic spatial location relations (relative physical positions) between multiple objects, or between distinct parts inside one object. A city map is a topological object. Local and non-local are topological relations.
U
Ultimate: If levels exist, ultimate is the highest level. For example, Superconsciousness is ultimate substance. (See penultimate; substance).
Ultimately simultaneous: (See simultaneous).
Uncertainty (generic): Lacking necessary information to know something for sure.
Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle: Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle is commonly limited to stating the more information we have about momentum the less information we can have about position, or vice versa. I extend the uncertainty principle to generic uncertainty which means objects have certain pairs of complementary properties which cannot all be observed or measured simultaneously. For every logically contradictory pair of elements in coherence of superposition, it remains uncertain which of the two elements will transform from possible-to-exist status to actually-does-exist status, for example [spin up ½ /spin down ½], [+ polarization/0/- polarization], [particle/0/wave], [alive/0/dead]. Therefore, the only way to describe those objects is with abstract mathematical probability, and the only certain existence is possible = potential = mathematical probability, before observation, or before any instance of generic [interactions/transactions/relations/observations].
Quantum Uncertainty: The fact that it is not possible to determine simultaneous precise values for the location and momentum of any elementary quantum particle with a single calculation. This simply reduces to the fact that you can only solve an equation for one unknown variable at a time.
Uncertainty in near-existence domain necessarily refers to probability of possible (potential) existence. Probability is always, without exception, uncertain, precisely because the outcomes have not manifested yet, rather they exist only as mathematical abstractions, for instance, superpositions such as [exist/0/does not exist] or [particle/0/wave], etc.
Uncertainty in actual existence domain, as commonly described by physicists, refers to the fact that it is impossible to measure both momentum and location of any quantum mass unit simultaneously, which is quite a trivial (obvious) observation. For instance, if something is moving it certainly does not occupy any specific location for any measurable duration of time, and if any object does occupy any specific location for some measurable duration of time, it will not reveal any linear momentum (during that exact time of measurement).
Unconscious: Ego consciousness is suspended, not terminated. Ego consciousness does not know the contents of unconscious. (See unself).
Understanding: Consciousness correctly interprets and bestows meaning upon objects and events. Only consciousness understands.
Unitary principle: In any closed system total probability must add to 1 = 100%. If a system is random, that means there are two possible outcomes, and assuming at least one will occur, the probability of each outcome is exactly ½ = 50%. If total probability does not add to 1 then something has been left out which means your explanation is necessarily incomplete.
Universal: With reference to the whole physical universe object, everywhere all at once. Universal entails global. Global entails local. Local instantiates global. Global instantiates universal. For example, ultimately simultaneous is a universal state condition because ultimately simultaneous means an object occupies the total set of Euclidean empty zero points, which completely fills the whole physical universe without exception. Two other examples include the set of laws of physics and the set of natural a priori axioms.
Universe: As commonly defined in physics, the universe is inclusive of everything that exists. I extend James Lovelock’s term to describe our whole physical universe as GAIA, a holon unity of wholeness, a single live organism.
Unreal either does not exist and/or the information we have about it is false.
V
Vacuum: The word vacuum comes from Latin meaning empty. Classical physics’ perfect (ideal) vacuum is volume devoid of matter mass objects and has zero pressure and no electromagnetic visible light radiation (it is dark). A synonym for vacuum is “free space,” which literally means empty space (empty volume), space (volume) without anything else present. In fact, ideal means space is not actually perfect, for example free space is known to have a “few” hydrogen atoms per cubic meter on average in intergalactic space. Quantum physics vacuum is the state condition with the lowest possible energy (which is necessarily greater than 0). Plato’s vacuum (Aristotle agreed) was considered to be nothing at all, because it was indistinguishable from physical volume. (See emptiness; space).
Vedas: Hindu scriptural sacred texts originating in Northern India dating back over 5,000 years. The more recent Vedas are known as Upanishads. Earliest Vedas (c. Rig Veda 1500-1200 bce, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda, Atharva Veda 1200-900 bce, Upanishads (c. 700-500 bce) and Tantras (c. 600 ce). Buddha’s enlightenment (c. 563-483 bce).
Verbing: Using words traditionally defined as nouns, but intentionally using them as verbs; nouns-to-verbs. For example: table, calendar, action, workshop, and task; or “an apple tree apples.”
Visible universe: The boundary distance from Earth, from which electromagnetic radiation, say visible light, has had time to reach us from our past light cone. (See Hubble radius; light cone, past and future).
Virtual (physics): One thing is a simulation of something else; the two objects are assumed to behave in a similar way or to have similar properties, functions and relations. The two objects are not literally identical. Virtual objects are imaginary. Virtual objects can exist as mathematical abstractions or can have physical appearance. Mirror images are virtual images. A hologram is a virtual image. Artificial intelligence (AI) is virtual intelligence.
Virtual particle: All quantum elementary particles exist only as “transient quantum fluctuations” which means they are virtual (possible to exist objects) before they interact with anything else. They are hosted inside near-existence domain and exist only as mathematical probability abstractions. They are not physical, yet. After they interact with anything else they manifest themselves as actual physical objects inside actual existence domain.
Virtual reality: Lifelike worlds are generated by computer software.
Virtual time: Imaginary time is the mathematical representation of time, which means the Wick rotation applying the imaginary unit i (square root of -1) −1-1 -to transform real clock time to imaginary time, is virtual mathematical time.
W
Wave: A disturbance, which oscillates periodically with a fixed frequency and wavelength, propagating from one physical location to another through some medium. Waves transfer energy, momentum, and information, but not mass, which means waves do not move the medium, rather they move through the medium, for example a wave does not move the water mass, rather the wave moves through the water mass. Compare that with water coming out of a hose, that is motion of water mass, not waves in motion. Sound (which is mechanical) and light (which is electromagnetic visible light radiation) travel in waves. Mechanical waves require a medium (for instance sound waves propagate through the mediums of air and water), but electromagnetic radiation can propagate through a vacuum, which is commonly defined as an absence of everything including any medium. I suggest emptiness is what a vacuum actually is. The vacuum is devoid of any physical objects, except the medium emptiness. Emptiness is an ultimately simultaneous medium filling everywhere at once inside the whole physical universe.
Wave - constructive and destructive interference: Light waves have peaks (high points) and troughs (low points). The distance between one peak and the next is the same as the distance between one trough and the next, and that distance is the wavelength. Two or more coherent light waves may interact by constructive or destructive interference. If the peak of one wave intersects the trough of the other wave, they cancel each other (destructive interference), but if the peaks or troughs of the two waves merge, they add to each other (constructive interference). A single wave can split and interfere with itself (for instance in a double-slit experiment.
Wholeness (wholeness fundamental): Indivisible unity of any complete object; intrinsic to any complete object of any possible size. Size is not an identity condition of wholeness. Identity conditions of wholeness include: 1) complete, 2) irreducible, and 3) fundamental. The different kinds of wholeness identified in this manuscript are all pathways between eternal and physical.
Quantum fundamental elementary wholeness: Quantum-scale elementary, simple, primitive objects that exist without internal structure (no constituent parts), not made from anything else, for instance electrons and photons.
Macro-scale fundamental complex wholeness: Macro (large) complex objects do have internal structure. They are made from quantum fundamental constituent parts. Complex objects include, for instance, atoms and molecules, human beings, galaxies and our whole physical universe. Macro-large complex whole objects are complete, which means the whole is greater than simple sum of parts. Identity condition of macro-scale wholeness is that everywhere is local. No distance to travel takes no time to get there.
Omni-fundamental wholeness: Applies only to eternal Aseity; not found in our whole physical universe organism.
Wisdom: The highest category of justified knowledge.
X
Y
Yoga: Union. A set of spiritual-physical practices to entail (permit) the illumination of consciousness all the way to enlightenment. The word yoga first appeared in the Hindu scriptural sacred texts Rigveda in Northern India dating back over 5,000 years.
Z
Zero (0): Placeholder on a real number line exactly where negative quantity turns into positive quantity, but 0 has neither negative nor positive quantity in it. Zero is not actually any cardinal or ordinal number, it is a concept. - —————0————— + Zero is not a symbol for nothing. Zero is a placeholder, the exact Euclidean empty zero point where absence of something possible turns into something actual.
Zero now point: All zero points are empty. The zero now point is empty. On one side of the zero now point is what could possibly exist, and on the other side is what actually does exist. The zero now point is exactly where (spatial point), and when (temporal point), possible to exist turns into actually does exist. The zero now point has neither what could exist, nor what actually exists anywhere in it, because by common definition, there is no dimension or extension in zero physical and zero mathematical points. (See now; Euclidean empty zero points; placeholder).
